Drive a Classic If you are looking for a car that turns heads at the stop light, this is it. I purchased this from Texas about 8 years ago. It made the trip to Illinois without a problem. The odometer broke about two years ago, but has not been driven much since then. This is the European model, actually purchased in Germany originally. Instrument panel in Celsius! Still has original owner's manual, and ID plate (necessary for new keys). Body is in great shape (repainted 7 years ago)Massive sun roof.Large vehicle with a huge trunkTruly beautiful grill wordPower seats, windows Of course, as most cars pushing 3 decades old, it is showing it's age. Brakes somewhat "mushy"; Leaking some fluid Interior pretty bad. Seats cracked and torn, wood laminate dash broken and pealingHeater fan has a bad bearing (I assume) and squeaks Radio doesn't always workAC is weakDebris in fuel tank clogs the fuel filter every few months (It takes less than 2 minutes to replace and an $8 part. There is also an in-line manual fuel pump, so no problem getting the engine re-primed)Doesn't like the cold weather! Definitely needs a heater if you want it to run on cold days. Usually does fine until temps get below 20.Power locks aren't workingI believe that is all the list of problems, but there is possible something else I may have forgotten. All in all, a fun and somewhat exotic car. I can't afford to insure 3 vehicles, so it has to go.
