Vehicle Detail
1961 Buick Lesabre convertible in need of restoration. It currently runs and drives very well other than needing a tie rod end or idler arm. The right front wheel has about an inch of play. The 364 nailhead starts and runs very well with no smoke or noises. The heads were gone through about ten years ago with stainless valves. There are a lot of new parts installed such as Edlebrock carb, water pump, starter, fuel pump, coil, points, and wires. The trans was rebuilt about three years ago and works like it should. It also has new exhaust installed. The power brakes work fine and all of the shoes are in good condition. The body looks pretty decent other than some bubbles in the paint as seen in the pictures. The paint is a very poor quality repaint with runs and sags. The car was originally white with gold interior. The worst thing about this car is it needs floor pans and inner rockers replaced. The floors have been patched many years ago with sheet metal, very strong but ugly. The trunk pan looks okay other than a few tiny pin holes. The top is ripped and needs replacement. The power top does work. The power windows work but could use new switches. A great car for restoration. Thanks for looking.
