blazer is back up for bids once again. a local trade fell through. so here it is again 1992 Chevy Blazer Full Size K5, 4x4 works great, 5.7 V8, Auto, Power everything. tilt wheel, rate the interior 7/10 and exterior 6/10. 242980 original miles on motor, mileage will go past 243k as i drive this truck everyday. engine is strong and sounds healthy, a family friend was the last owner and used synthetic oil when he bought it back in 1997 with 89k miles (still have the dealer papers in the glove box) so i use synthetic as well same. has flowmaster exhaust, rebuilt tranny put in in March of this year at 231k miles when i purchased it (have receipt for proof). i drive the truck to phoenix from vegas once a month and have put on 12k miles hasn't left me stranded. this truck is very reliable and has a lot of life left, the same style truck came into our shop last week and has 350k original miles so it wouldnt suprise me if my truck made it that long as long as you keep up on the oil changes and maintenance. the truck is mechanically sound. i would trust driving it across the country. i will tell you every little thing worng with it. truck needs an a/c compressor if you want air conditioning. you can see where it is leaking out of the front seal of the compressor. the passenger seat needs to be repaired or replaced the back rest handle is messed so it doesnt slide forward to allow someone to sit in the back and cannot be adjusted you must enter through the driver side for someone to sit in the rear. the headliner is hanging down at the windshield. rear hatch does not stay open the gas shocks need to be replaced, the clear coat it peeling on the paint, the driver power seat motor is weak it can still be adjusted by standing outside the vehicle with no weight on the seat. the windshield has a crack straight down the windshield basically just a long straight line. the arm rests on the door panel need to be replaced i put a piece of metal and screw in the arm rest to keep them on. steering has the bus driver affect i was told the pitman arm needs replacing, and others tell me theres a nut on top of the gearbox that can be tightened to reduce the slack. power door lock regulators are weak so it doesnt unlock all the way so you have to unlock it by hand. horn was disconnected for air horns but air horns are not hooked up. carpets have the usual stains for a 18 year old truck. e-brake is messed up something in the pedal mechanism. the dash has some small cracks nothing major. driver power mirrow does not work. basically all cosmetic flaws truck runs amazing, you can drive it like it is as i did for a daily driver or fix all these cosmetic flaws and have a nice reliable truck. i just replaced the tranny and drove it. i reserve the right to end this auction as it is for sale locally. i would prefer local pick up.
