1962 Chevrolet Impala Up for auction is a nice 1962 Impala. It has been garage kept for the past 20 plus years and it shows! It is an awesome cruiser and gets tons of looks at the local cruises and car shows. If you are looking for a trailer queen, this car is not for you! It is a very well preserved car that has been on the road very seldom for more than half of its life. It looks like it has been painted at one point in time and still has a good shine to it. There are a minor flaws in the paint which are pictured below. It is a nice driver quality paint job and on a scale 1 to 10 it is an 8. The doors shut nice and solid. The side trim on the car looks like it is brand new and shines extremely well! In fact almost all the trim is in excellent condition. All the glass is in excellent shape as well. I've never had an Impala yet that the windows roll up and down as good as this one does. The vent windows are the same way. The floor boards seem to be in good shape. There is one body mount that has a little rust issue and it is the one on the driver side behind the rear wheel. The trunk has a minor patch. It has had rear quarter panels replaced as well. The undercarriage was heavily undercoated and I think that is why it is in such good shape. Hood and Trunk emblems are brand new. New seat covers were recently installed in the car and at the same time, new carpet was installed as well. It has new arm rest bezels on it. The headliner and door panels appear to be orginal and are also in good condition. The only spots that show a little wear are the arm rest pads and the top of the door panel where your arm rests with the window down, but it is very minor. New kick panels were installed as well. The dash is in great shape along with the gauges, trim, and dash pads. The car shows that it has been garage kept. The gas gauge and the speedometer work but the clock does not! It has two aftermarket black faced AutoMeter gauges mounted underneath the dash to monitor the oil pressure and the water temperature. The Factory radio has been converted to FM and works good. The engine is a clean 283 CUI along with a powerglide transmission. The engine has an Edelbrock intake on it with a Holley Carberator. It also has a Chrome alternator and Chevrolet scripted valve covers. All the hoses and clamps are new. It starts up and runs very well for a 283! The transmission seems to shift fine. It has just recently been upgraded with a Professionally installed Air Ride Suspension. All the best parts were used in installing this kit. The air ride consists of Air Lift Dominator II air bags, Chrome VIAIR 480 - 200 PSI Compressor and pressure switch, SMC 3/8 Brass Valves and SMC air line, and a 5 gallon air tank. The air ride is controlled by an Air Ride Technologies switch panel, rocker switches, and a dual needle gauge to control the ride height to the look and ride that you would enjoy only by the push of a button. This car rides and steers nice and straight. Everything that has been modified to the suspension can be put back to stock with no problems. There has not been anything cut on this car for the suspension!* The car sits on a brand new set of Coys C-5 Polished rims. The fronts are 18" and the rears are an amazing 20" X 10" wrapped in Nitto Z-Rated Tires. The rearend did not have to be modified to fit these wheels. They look amazing and give it a nice stance. This car is not a restoration, but it is in very good condition. I do have this car for sale locally as well! If it sells it will be pulled off the auction! So, if you are interested... call me!
