2001 Ford F-150 Bi-Fuel CNG Extended Cab Free Delivery to Las Vegas with Buy It Now! Up for auction is a 2001 Ford F-150 Regular Cab Long Bed capable of running on gasoline or Natural Gas. This was a former utility fleet vehicle and has been well-maintained. The truck starts up easily on either gasoline or CNG. This is a 7700 series heavy duty truck, which gives it an upgraded suspension, transmission, brakes and a high-amp battery. Towing capacity is 8500 lbs. The CNG tank holds about 10 GGE's (gasoline gallon equivalent) and is activated by flipping a switch to the left of the steering wheel. When set to "ALT" before starting, the engine will run on CNG, and will switch over automatically to gasoline when the tank is depleted. As the price of gasoline fluctuates, these trucks become more valuable as natural gas continues to be significantly lower in price compared to gasoline. In some states, CNG costs less than $1 a gallon, and there are substantial tax incentives that may be available. This truck has never been registered outside of California. There may be other incentives that are available from State to State.
