Vehicle Detail
Body... Here we have a 73 challenger with all its original sheetmetel. It has very good front and rear subframes with no holes. The Floor pans and trunk floor are original and in decent shape. Some surface rust in the trunck and minor rust in a few spots on the drivers side front floor pan. The lower quarters on both sides has minor rust and a few pinholes but its an easy repair and these are the original quarters. I would take original quarters anyday with a few issues than a replacement panel anytime. There are afew minor dents here and there but the body is very strait and has never been wrecked. There is ugly 20 year old primer on the car but under that primer is the original paint. This car has never been repaited. Has some filler in the lower quarters from an ametuer motor head but it looks like a easy repair to me. The Hood is a ralley hood that is in good shape with no rust holes or dents. The wing is a challenger wing and has been mounted properly. The rear pan is new and has the cut outs for exhaust tips. It also has a decent set of chrome tips. Has Dual Sport mirrors. Driver side is remote cable controlled. Front pan is strait as are the bumpers. Rear pan is new as I mentions before. Motor-driveline...73 360 4V with cast iron 340 intake and 850 TQ carb with electronic ignition. The exhaust starts with a set of new headers and has strait pipes out to the tips with no mufflers. Sounds pretty mean with this exhaust. Has a 904 tranny that works perfect and does not leak fluid. 8.75 axle with 3.23 open gear. Disk brakes in front, 10'' drums in rear. The calipers and pads\fles hoses are new, Has Power Brakes and Power Steering. No leaks in the PS box or pump. I see a few drops of oil now and then but thats it. I park in a garage with a concreste floor so I'm kinda picky about leaks. Motor runs good and is quite powerful. Interior. The bucket seats are correct but are white cloth. The rear seat is original and fair shape. Door panels are decent as are rear panels. Carpet is showing wear and needs repalced. AC Dash has a few cracks in the pad but is not horrible. Has a ralley cluster and all the gauges work. The tachometer is not hooked up and I don't know if it works. Has the original AM\FM radio that works. The headliner needs replaced. Has a good console (no cracks) with slapstick shifter, The T shift handle is original and in good shape and shifter works like it should. The "slapstick" is a factory ractchet shifter and this one works perfect. Has original owners manual in glove box. The seats are comfortable and sit well and has all the seat belts. electrical. Most everything in this car works and the wiring is in good shape. Has factory electronic ignition. Blinkers, lights work. There are a few itens that don't work but I will have them corrected before the end of the auction. Dome lights, instrument lights, horn, trunk light need fixin. wheels. The car has a set of 14'' magnum road wheels or a set of 14'' ralleys. Choice is yours. This car runs and drives good and can be driven as is. I will list more pictures ASAP. It was rainy and gloomy today so I could not get good pics. I will try again tomorrow. I will also update this listing with more info and would be glad to answer any questions. On Oct-03-10 at 20:17:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Title Clear Title is in my name and the car is registered in Ohio with a Antique plate. It has a fender Tag and that matches the 2 body numbers under the hood and VIN tag on the dash. So the body matches the title and VIN and Fender Tag with clear title. Like I said above, this car has all the original sheet metal and does not have any welded on parts and is not pieced together. Its an all original body that only needs the outer body restored. Light body work on the lower quarters and a few minor dents smoothed out is all it really needs along with a paint job. This would be a easy car to restore is what I'm saying. All the parts and hardware are there and the car is complete and in working order. The front and rear subframes (unibody) are in very good shape with no rust holes or crash damage. The car tracks strait and is a good driver as is. Brakes also have been overhauled and work very good. This car has a very solid feel to it and rides good and does not shake or rattle. Rides like a much bigger car. It can get up and go to and it takes a good runing car to beat it in a street race. It can hold its own against most cars around here. It sounds very mean when you rev the engine and most the time cars just pull off and don't want to run. I guess they are intemidated buy the look and sound of the car.If it does not sell here I will just put it in black pmimer and have fun with it as is.On Oct-05-10 at 12:03:31 PDT, seller added the following information: The cowl area on this car is in very good shape with no rust. Wipers work as well.On Oct-05-10 at 12:20:05 PDT, seller added the following information: This car has a set of rare Amber colored high beam lights. they work as well.On Oct-06-10 at 09:16:41 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTICE!!!
