Thank you for taking the time to look at our auction! This is another Mustang from Dipstick Motors in the Beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. Here we have an ex Oregon State Police Mustang Interceptor for sale. This particular Mustang will be sold with NO RESERVE! Thats right, when is the last time you saw a 5.0 Fox Mustang SSP Notch up for auction with no reserve. You tell us what this car is worth and it will be yours. I am starting the auction at $500.00 to get things moving.
This Mustang was sold new by Damerow Beaverton Ford to the Oregon State Police. The Damerow tag is still in the glovebox. This car is fairly original but does have some upgrades. The rear lower control arms were changed out for SSM traction bars. The transmission has a shift kit.The original front bucket seats are gone. The car has a set of correct Mustang seats but they are light grey instead of the blue of the remainder of the interior. The ashtray lid has been replaced with a black lid. The original AM/FM cassette radio is in place. This Mustang is air conditioned, has cruise control, power locks and roll up windows and tilt wheel. I do not recall at time of writing this ad if the Air conditioning blows cold. This car does not have any strange smells in it. It does not appear to have been smoked in.
This Mustang starts runs and drives nice. I have driven it several hundred miles with out any problems. To my knowledge this vehicle has never been through an emissions test and I do not know if it will pass. It has a flowmaster exhaust on it with what I believe are stainless tail pipes. It has all 4 catalytic converters in place. The engine compartment is very clean and original. The body is straight and has all of its body tags in place. There is one dent on the driver door I tried to show in a photo as well as a dent and wrinkle in the left rear of the roof. This car does not appear to have been a marked vehicle as I can not find any repairs for spotlights or other body plugs. The paint on this car looks good from a distance but it really does need to be painted. All the glass is good. The front and rear tires are different, they are useable but should be replaced.
This SSP is DSO 74 0244. Both buck tags are in place, the second tag shows "Oregon". The paint is 9L Ford white. As with most Oregon cars, this car does not have any rust other than very small patches of surface rust as shown in photos. This is a solid car. I do not know what the mileage on this mustang is. I was told by the person I obtained the car from the mileage of 82,xxx is original. I have documentation showing from Kendall Ford of Eugene showing the mileage in 1997 as 36,180. I have a work order from Midas muffler in 2001 showing mileage 61196. I have repair order from C & D radiator of Eugene from 2002 showing mileage 68,379. I have a repair order from Springfield Service Center from 9/2003 showing mileage 75,672. The Auto check which will be shown in the auction is clean and has no mileage listed. This car has had only two owners. I think this is a low mileage Fox Mustang but I am not comfortable with the documentation on this car to guarantee the low mileage. It is over 10 years old and exempt from mileage disclosure.
I would like to say this car is not the quality of car I would like to be known for. I strive to make the cars I sell as perfect as possible. As this can become quite expensive my wife encouraged me to follow my dream of buying and selling car. I love fox body Mustangs and finding different collectible cars used for law enforcement purposes. I try to get the best cars that I can because I believe people are interested in low mile good used cars. I plan on retiring October of 2011 and will take my dream and passion full time.
