Vehicle Detail
I am the 3rd owner of this car. The last time this car saw the road was 1966. It was parked in a barn on Long Island, NY from 1966 to 2004. The 2nd owner bought it with intentions of getting it road worthy. He ended up selling it to me in 2008. With the National convention for Corvairs coming to Sturbridge Mass in 2012, this car is the perfect candidate for a concourse restoration!!!!! I have bought numerous parts for her: 4 floor pans, all new brake lines and hoses, tune up kits... I'll post pictures of the new items bought. Enough background on her, now to the important stuff. 3 speed 80 hp. Body is very solid except for pinholes(some golfball size) in the floor pans (refer to pictures). I bought (4)replacement pans but never had the time to install them. The gas tank is out of car for a cleaning. We got the car running but it will need a tuneup and carbs rebuilt. The interior is in good condition. Seats are in good condition(no rips). The door panels are in ok condition. Headliner is in great condition. Rugs will need to be replaced. The trunk is immaculate. I have all the paperwork with the car including maintenance records from 61-66. I will take pictures and post them later also. I took video of her when I got her home in 2008 if anyone is interested in this, I can send you the you tube link. I have 60 pictures of the car hosted at Imageshack:http://img714.imageshack.us/g/8259116.jpg/ If you don't see something, please ask before bidding. I can take pictures of whatever you would like to see on the car. Video is not a problem either. Please just ask.
