Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a red with black top and interior 1998 Ford Mustang Convertible. The car is currently inoperable as water has got into the oil based on either warped heads or a crack in the block (unsure as to the cause). Either way, the car is being sold as a fixer-upper project for someone who has the time to invest since it does not run at this time. The car currently has 149,554 miles and was bought new by my myself in 1998 with the following options: AM/FM/Cassette/CD player, Cruise Control, Power Driver’s Seat, Rear Spoiler, and Rear Window Defroster. The car came standard with the 5-speed manual transmission (a BLAST to drive versus an automatic), air conditioning, power windows/locks/top. The car had new tires put on in Fall of 2009 and I replaced the headlights a few years back due to that yellow haze that all the late 90s mustangs seemed to develop. The top is still serviceable and water tight, but is starting to crack and will eventually require replacement. The boot for the top is new and was only ever used a couple times. The interior, body, and trunk are in nice shape for a car that is 12 years old, no rust. Once again, this is being sold as a fixer upper requiring major engine work. That said, the car was running fine up until the day the engine quit (i.e. brakes, transmission, electronics, etc. where all working fine). For that reason, the car is being sold as is, with no warranty and it is the responsibility of the winner to pick the vehicle up as I have no way to move it to arrange for shipping. If someone has the time to invest, this will make for a fun car with either a V6 or upgraded to a V8! Please be advised this auction is being re-listed. If you win this auction, it is your responsibility to make payment and arrange for pick-up within seven (7) days of auction close. Thank you.
