Vehicle Detail
A very clean Z I purchased to restore. Basically it was gold, and I wanted to paint it blue to duplicate the model I had in high school. As you can see (as indicated with the magnetic tool), this is metal everywhere. The car spent time oiginally in AZ then Southern CA, and Las Vegas before I purchased it 4 years ago. It runs, but will need a fuel pump. The original gold top coat and later second repaint were painstakingly removed with media blast and sand paper. Metal imperfections like 30 years of parking lot dings, stone chips on hood and headlamp doors were removed and filled where necessary with Rage Extreme and Metalworks. Reduction block sanding throughout (100 grit up to 1000 or more in critical areas) and primered. Then my daughter got ill and I lost all interest. The car has been stripped to facilitate a factory (non repaint look). Includes new Upholstery and a New full Dash cover, as well as every single nut and bolt needed to put her back together. Nothing is missing. Unfortunately, I have long since lost interest. I also have a 1974 260Z that will be listed soon. Yet to be installed- NEW upholstery kit in the very rare White vinyl. NEW full dash cover. NEW Full rubber moulding kit. Together these would set you back $1000. All included This is a platform upon which Z-National show cars are made. If not sold within 6 weeks, the car will be painted, (Original Champagne Mist) assembled and relisted in the spring for much, much more. It will fetch top dollar. I am looking for not much more than opening bid. Always stored in a temperature and humidity controlled garage. Downpayment of $500 at the conclusion of auction. You must pick up and pay balance within 10 days.
