Up for sale or trade our 1978 Monza coupe,call it what you will,pro street,drag car,10.5 car,here's the details,1978 coupe thats been a drag car since the eighties,the paint i would consider a 20 footer but others think its better,the hood,roof,and deck, have been repainted in the last year and look very good,lots of stone chips low on the body but the car shows well,3 inch bumper tuck front and rear,fiberglass cowl hood,the dog legs are perfect with no rust ever,some rust here and there underneath as would be expected,it does have subframe conectors,the car has a bolt in 9 inch ford rear with moser axles and 3.70 gears and a titanium spool,it is good to 1000hp,it is built around the stock style suspension which is the same as the camaro's used untill 2002,boxed and lowered control arms,adjustable panhard rod,rear sway bar,drag shocks,air bag rt rear,15 gal aluminum cell with twin holley fuel pumps red/black,complete 3 inch exhaust with flowmaster 40's,getting the picture yet,we used good stuff to build it,front is S-10 conversion to five lug with moog springs,the car sits just right,inside there are racing seats,guages,rollbar,quarter stick shifter,hyfire 6 ignition system,most of the interior is there and whats not i think i have,rims are newer 15x3 with 27 tall [rub a little on hard rt turn] and 15x8 with 26x10x15 ,front tires are good with about 75% left,rears will be needed soon,on the the engine and trans,the trans/converter was built by Redneck out of TX and was freshened with altos when the engine was gone thru this spring,the trans has a 3800 stall nitrous converter,manual reverse valvebody,w/trans brake,have never raced it with the brake,it foots very well,,the engine is a 383 stroker built for nos,all forged stuff,eagle crank,h beam rods,diamond 10.75 pistons,comp 292h cam,magnum 1.6 roller rockers,.80 wall pushrods,world sportsman 2 heads with 2.05 valves ported/polished,hooker comp headers,moroso oil pan and pickup,Victor intake,holley 750 dp with pro mainbody [no choke],super power shot nos system with heater,set at 150hp,that put us at the cars best of 10.28 @128.9,best 60ft off foot is 1.40,best motor pass 11.20 @117mph,car leaves flat and hard,skips front wheels thru the 60ft mark and runs straight,engine runs 85+ lbs oil at start up then calms down to 60 warm,this has been used as a race car but is fully streetable with working head,brake,blinker,lights,this is a turn key car but all cars need something,to recap,engine and trans are fresh and not run but to break in,paint and body a 20 footer,interior is semi complete,selling/trading due to the need for a plow truck,will consider trades on nice truck but not looking to spend money,buy it now is fair for a turn key car the the power/parts/and looks of this one,look at the pictures ask question before bidding,no tire kickers or dreamers,,deposit of 500.00 within 24hrs,shipping/towing/delivering the buyers responsibility,will store car for a short time free of charge, Yes the car will run faster with the exhaust unhooked,also with a 300 hit it shoud do 9.80's,but i race for fun and don't break parts,also no chasis certification needed,fire suit,and all the other junk,,i go and race with no hassels and do it cheap,has SFI cert flex plate and damper,sticker is on them,RCI silver belts are good for two years, At 130mph or under 10.00 seconds the rules/requirements change,this car would need to be upgraded to a 12 point cage,it cost 249.00 for the kit from jegs, this car is usaully in the top 10% of the fast cars at our local tracks as the majority of cars out there run in the 12-14 second range, this not a show car,its a race car that is street legal,its not perfect because its 32 years old,but is in great shape for its age, FOR TRADE TO BE CONSIDERED you will need a good description of trade,your location,plan to complete deal,cell number,pictures of possible trade from all sides,send directly to my email, monza78@yahoo.com If you don't like the buy-it-now price then make your offer,just don't be insulting or wait untill the last minute,I won't hold the car for any reason,also,where do you start a car like this,complete,fast and proven,if desired,buyer will be taken for a quick spin before final money changes hands, trucks that are not plow trucks,S-10,colorado,ranger,dakota,jeep sized trucks,looking for larger truck
