1991 Stepside short box bought as salvage in 1992 I am the second owner bought with 10,000mi. This vehicle had a 700R4 trany fire while towing a trailor a common occurance, it smoke damaged the interior and totaled the truck as it was so new. I purchased the truck and went to GM and bought all new interior every peice except the front seat which I paid 1400 for a Flex Steel custom bench bucket seat with factory cloth. I also purchased the factory drivers side frame with full power, We added the overhead console with the compas and O/S trmp, guasge factory. Once the interior was new I purchased all wiring and components from another 3/4 truck to include motor, trans, TK front and rear ends and drive shafts. The gear ratio of the 3/4 parts was 4:10 and the transmision is 400TH, motor was 454. I drove the truck until 2004 without a problem every day 0 issues. In 2005 I decided to replace the 454 with more power as the stock one had about 200 and some HP. I purchased a complete roller cam kit from Isky, it included roller hyd. cam, roller lifters, chrome moly shortened push rods, and roller rockers. I installed a roller timing chain, TRW forged pistons , high volume oil pump, and ported and pollished 70 hi-per heads, and Edelbrock perf. allum. manifold. Entire engine comp. have been balanced and magnafluxed. This engine with machine work cost over 6k. It drove perfect and pulled passes loaded at twice the speed and used less gas for 5 years. Then I purchased a HD 8.1L and painted it and put it in the garage to store it. The paint has 5 miles on it. It sat for a couple years now starts with it running rough and backfires when reved up and decelerating rpm. The motor is fine it has 13,000 miles on it the emissions they say like EGR or O2 sensor is bad. Some say it could even be an injector, I have a spare throttlebody for it. I don't get enough work anymore to pay to have it fixed or looked at. So I am selling it as is. I Purchased the following accessories 4" lift kit Pro-Comp ,315/75/16 tires <50% wear left Datata chrome alloy wheels, chrome role bar, diamond plate bed guards bed matt, Lund running boards, rear slider, rear windows louvers, visor GM hood scoop, front fender vents Z-28, Power mirrors, new exhaust HP, new 2x batterys, 5 row L-Core radiator, Warn chrome bruch guard, grill guards and covers, warn 6,000lb winch. (chrome is peeling on brush guard a little can be recromed) I have sold all my toys on E-Bay so go to my feedback and you will see I don't sell junk and will tell you all I know about any vehicle I own honestly I don't hide anything. My vehicles have 1000's of dollars put into them so I wouldn't waist time or money to put this stuff on a junker, I am sure you will read if I sold it it was better than described by all who purchased from me. I set the price of the truck for what you would pay for the engine if you bought one at a heck of a deal. The roller parts are over 2500.00 so the truck and thousands spent on seats winches and rolebars ect are not even a factor in this price it would cost well over 10,000 to buy the extra's on this truck plus a truck to put them in. I have item numbers on a new gm throttlebody ecm, wires ect what ever it is likely to run 100% and you can't spend over 400 to replace throttlebody ,comp, plug wires , a plug or sensor a scope would tell what it needs . I does run and drive just rough and not trustable as the ecm light comes on after a short while and it looses power and backfires. Clear up and does it again later, it only runs good for a couple miles and does not go away for long. The list of options should be this: Power steering, power brakes , air, tilt cruse, windows locks,power mirrors, AM/FM Cassette , rear slider Power drivers seat with adj. lumbar support OS IS temp and compas, overhead console, tow package., visor running boards, role bar chrome, winch, even rear window louvers just haven't put them back on after repainting the truck.
