I bought this BRAT about 9 years ago as a project car and spent a ton of money on it. It has been garaged for those 9 years. It drives great and handles fabulous for a 30 year old truck. Unfortunately, it got to the point where I wasn't driving it very often and the body work needed to be completed so the deal is this...I've over $4000 invested in this truck and would like to move it quickly but without losing my proverbial "shirt" in the process. Believe me, I got screwed by the previous owner when I bought this...what a snake. Here's everything it needed to pass PA state inspection when I bought it: new brakes, replaced boots, frame was rusted so all rust removed and rewelded, floor boards were rusted through so they had to be replaced, new catalytic converter installed (former owner had it removed illegally) and a major re-alignment. Some mechanical repairs required for inspection completed by Welsh Subaru of Limerick, PA while other work done by Kennedy Subaru in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Welding done by a local guy who redoes hot rod bodies and frames. I believe the front struts were replaced, too but I can't find the receipt for it. Things I've done to it to try to make it nice again: New interior carpet, dash cap (I have to admit that although it's not too noticeable it didn't fit well), replaced front fenders, new front bumper, replaced windshield seal (to keep the replaced floor boards in good condition and take the "fogging" off the front windshield glass), replaced lower interior door panels, purchased and reinstalled jump seats with seat belts in back. Parts included with sale: 1984 style Subaru OEM fog lights with snap on SUBARU covers, extra front and rear bumpers, "deerslayer" front bumper (not installed on truck), bumper guards (really meant for a sedan), misc spare trim, left hand door window glass (one on vehicle is scratched), extra clutch plate, used carpet for cargo area (bought as a pattern to replace carpet), topper/cap (sorry, no pic and it does needs some work), old front fenders that I replaced, a right side complete replacement quarter panel, an extra left front fender plus other misc parts. As you can see in the pictures it's got some "cancer" on the back quarter panels but mostly superficial. I could have slapped putty over it and gave it a good sanding but I thought it best to let you see what you are getting involved with. This truck has passed Pennsylvania's inspection (and they are tough here) every year. Then three years ago I canceled the insurance and let the registration lapse so it should pass again without a hitch. I got tired of paying insurance on something I wasn't driving so it's been sitting in the garage. Starts everytime and enjoys a little run up the street then back into the garage.
