JAGUAR XJS Convertible 1995 NO RESERVE! Clean Auto Check report The best year for the XJS with the new technology 6cyl motor. These new motors are a big difference to the pre 1994 cars. Strong, spritely and torquey. This is a very pretty XJS finished in its specification metallic burgundy with tan leather. Paint is shiny and lustrous but does have some nicks, chips and the odd superficial scratch. Not perfect but looks good though, as you can see in the photos. The lower front air dam does have some of the typical splits in the lower moulding. Car is straight and no rust issues. Interior is very nice and clean. Leather is soft with some graininess on the driver seats but no splits or tears in any of the leather. The dash is straight with no cracks and the burl walnut wood finishes are very nice. Centre console is original and in good condition including the centre armrest and wood finish. All glass and chrome in good condition. Has an after market SONY stereo fitted that works well. Electric windows, mirrors, roof, aerial work well. Good tyres with updated Jaguar alloys. No known mechanical issues although battery is a little on the weak side and could do with replacing soon (loses charge over periods of storage). Good spare on original 5 spoke polished alloy. The only known issues are: Driver side electric seat not working. I have bought a new "seat control module" but have not had the chance to try it. Supplied with sale. Passenger seat good. Coolant light sensor for low fluid not working. Always on with full coolant. Soft top has some fraying. I ordered a new roof in matching, original style fabric, body colour burgundy. This can be supplied at an additional cost of $500 (my cost). Will look stunning when fitted as opposed to the standard tan top. Rear glass window in good condition. Car overall is a great looking and enjoyable driver. I had a ball with it over the summer as did my 7 year old. Highly recommended for low-cost, convertible driving that provides smooth and comfortable open-top touring. Not like many other soft-tops that are "loose" and "rattley", these new-series (95 onwards) Jaguars are solid and altogether firm. ** I just did a one day round journey of some 250 miles up to Wisconsin and back and she handled it like a dream with the roof down. I would feel quite comfortable driving this interstate after purchasing. ** ** Link to 42 high resolution photos - CLICK HERE ** Terms and conditions - PLEASE read before bidding: This Jaguar convertible is part of my private collection. I am not a broker or retail car dealer; I am a small time car collector of some 20 years. I don't take a trailer queen attitude to my cars. I have fun in collecting and driving them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid of make an offer. You are bidding and/or making offers to buy WITHOUT conditions. So if you have questions, ask them BEFORE you bid, not after. A $1000.00 deposit (non-refundable) will be required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. If all the funds are not received as indicated above, I reserve the right to keep the deposit and resell the vehicle by re-listing or to another bidder. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As this is a 100,000+ mile car and somewhat of a classic car (it is British!), a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. After all, it is some 15 years old. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, the mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any additional costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Whereas I am happy to store the car in excess of 15 days from auction end, a cost of $35 per day shall apply beyond 15 days of auction end. This is a great example being offered WITHOUT reserve. If you want to buy the car without waiting for the auction to end, simply message me with an offer and if acceptable, I can change it to a "buy it now". Please note that the title is being processed with DMV. In this state, titles can take a few weeks to process so you will need to be patient until it arrives. Please do not bid if you cannot. I have a copy of the processed title to prove one exists and is in order. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE ABOVE TERMS, DO NOT BID.
