1966 Ford Thunderbird. This is an old school hot rod probably done in the late '60's or early '70's. Top has been chopped and the suspension is lowered so it has a lead sled look. Lots of body feature lines and the old custom paint give it a lot of character as a rat rod or it could be restored to its original custom state. Not many chopped T-birds out there. (this is the only one I've ever seen). The body is pretty solid, but could use need some work. Rear floor pans are good. Fronts will need to be repaired near the tunnel area to be completely solid. Near as I can tell, the frame, rocker panels, doors and fenders are solid. Someone has removed the trunk floor. Looks like it was cut out properly at the pinch welds so a new trunk pan can be set in place and spot welded. At some point, the engine had been swapped out with a small block - not sure if it's a 289 or 302. Interior (whole car) needs a thorough cleaning to assess what needs to be repaired or replaced. The grille is in the trunk and there are some other trim pieces inside the car that go with it. This should be considered as a project car. It runs, moves in forward and reverse and the brakes work, but I've never driven it on the road so it will need to be trailered. Car has been setting for over 10 years. I've had it for 3 or 4 and still haven't gotten to it - too many other projects going at the same time so something has to go. Vehicle has a Rhode Island registration - a lot of these older cars do not have titles in New England. Buyer will be responsible for transport. Sold as is with no warranty.
