1998 Ford Taurus SE 3.0 V6 Just came off the road in September. BEING SOLD FOR PARTS ONLY. All power options, including driver's seat and mirrors work (one is black one is blue). AC is good. It has an in dash, JVC CD radio with remote control. Original cassette radio is included (though might be missing knob covers). Overall good body and clean interior. Hood has some rust and hail marks. Also rust near inside door jam near body molding by the rear passenger door (see picture). Other then hood no visible rust on the outside or major dents. Quarters, trunk and doors (minor rust near bottom seam on one) are solid. This car has not been used as a beater. Newer tires, battery, and recent brakes. Frame has never been damaged. Engine is not leaking or burning through oil or anything. Transmission hasn't had any issues. Check engine light is on. They ran it through the computer and code came up for air flow which they think is a hose that needs to be replaced (est $150). We already replaced the oxygen sensor. Right rear strut will need to be replaced, and the rest I would think eventually. Engine makes a noise when you're driving and you take your foot off the gas, kind of a winding down humming noise. Mechanic says it's a belt that needs to be tightened. It had work on heater, but it still isn't as hot as it should be. Note (9/29): a mechanic has noted that there is rust on the frame on the bottom of the car. I've done my best to describe the vehicle cosmetically and mechanically. The vehicle has been looked at by mechanics in relation to the issues I've described. However, there has not been a full inspection done on car. After the auction, the winning bidder must make full payment, and take delivery of the vehicle as is, where is, within in 7 days. The vehicle can be driven if you have a legal plate. It will not pass MA inspection with check engine light on though Blue Book on car for private party sale, in fair condition and mileage is $1810.
