1956 Chrysler New YorkerThis is a fine example of what I call a survivor car. The vehicle has always been a southern car. This is not a restored car, it is a preserved car. I have owed it for just over ten years. I replaced the entire braking system, had the transmission rebuilt, replaced the carpet, coolant hoses, tires, tune up parts, water pump, fuel pump, and had the rear bumper assembly re-chromed. The only flaws :The steering wheel is cracked, the trunk mat is missing, the windshield washer jets are missing, and the radio and clock do not work. The clock and radio do light up with the head lights .Rust is not a concern (see photos of under carriage). This vehicle has the driving quality of an unrestored, unmolested vehicle that has been given care over the years -it just has that feel- You will not be disappointed.
