Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1998 Chevy Pizm. I bought this car when I moved off campus during my senior year of college but I recently graduated an am moving to Boston where I'll be mainly using the metro. I've really enjoyed driving this car and I'm hoping she finds a good home! Even though my car is a little more than 10 years old, she still has a lot of life to live. She has 131k miles and is great on gas. It takes $30 to fill up and I have driven from NC to DC on one tank of gas! The car has power locks and windows (altho the passenger side window does get stuck occasionally), a great AC and heating system, a working radio and for the right buyer I would even be willing to throw in my GPS system -- worth $100 on its own. The Kelly Blue Book value of this car in excellent condition is $3,835 (http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/chevrolet/prizm/1998/retail-value/pricing-report?condition=good&mileage=114936) but I am selling my car for *significantly less* because there are some issues that need to be addressed. 1) This car is a REBUILT TITLE -- but despite this, I was able to drive it just fine and insure it without problems. I was in an accident a few months ago that caused damage in the front and rear passenger side. The right side front fender is off color from the rest of the car and the right taillight needs to be replaces (although its still in drivable condition. Also, the brakes, brake rotors and the worn steering shocks/struts. This is all routine maintenance for a car of this age. When I priced all of this, the mechanic said it could be done for between $400 and $450. (So you'd still be spending less than $1500 for a really great car.) For this price, the car can be used for parts or fixed up and driven. The car is still extremely drivable and a smooth ride, a things considered. This is a great car for anyone who is looking for an affordable and reliable vehicle but can't afford to shell out $2000+ at one time. An affordable price gets you on the road and the rest you can fix at your own pace. For more pictures of the car that I'm selling: http://s791.photobucket.com/albums/yy199/lc12088/?action=view¤t=442a3878.pbw I NEED TO SELL THIS CAR ASAP AND I AM WILLING TO CONSIDER ALL *REASONABLE* BIDS!!!! I look forward to hearing from you soon!
