Vehicle Detail

I am offering for auction my 1986 Mustang SVO, Jalapeno red with charcoal cloth interior, with optional factory sunroof. The car has 107K miles, but does not reflect the mileage in wear or mechanical ability. This car has been cared for its entire life. The engine is the 2.3 Liter Turbo charged and intercooled making 200hp. The car is a real runner - it runs excellent, boosts full and I would not hesitate to drive this car home. COMPLETELY RUST FREE body and underside. The only thing showing some scale is the natural metal parts - springs/axle, etc - things a 200 mile car would show as well. This car is NOT a competition prep model - I had installed the manual window cranks and door panels when I got the car 2 years ago. I also still have the A/C parts (the front condensor was shot, so I do not have that piece). The original window motors/hardware and door panels go with the car if you choose to revert back. The interior of the car is beautiful. The carpet is clean, the backseats and passenger seats have seen little use...the drivers seat is in very good condition, but does show a couple of small holes on the side bolster. New door seals and sunroof seals were installed. The dash pad shows no sign of damage, no broken speaker grills or anything like that. The radio still works and actually sounds really good - the tape deck I'm guessing still works, but I dont have a cassette to try it. I put an original NOS shift knob on the car when I bought it, still looks as new. The steering wheel and wheel center are very nice reproductions done by one of my car club vendors. The exterior of the car shows very well. The original 2R (jalapeno) red cleans up very nice. There are the typical chips on the front of the nose from rural/freeway driving. The car was originally from Little Rock Arkansas, and the warm dry air preserved this car well. The spats were a little crispy, so I installed new OEM spats. The passenger side door had discolored and had some cracking, so I had it repainted about 6 weeks ago. The shop did not get an exact match, sorry to say. It is a little brighter - see pictures, but a nice job nonetheless. When I bought the car 2 years ago, I installed a new timing belt, battery, TFI module and stator, as well as new rotors and pads, and goodyears. I have put roughly 7k miles on the car - I use it as a daily driver to school when it is not raining. This SVO has only been caught in the rain ONE time, and I was not happy! The car was completely virgin when I got it - the only mods I made were eibach springs (original OEM springs go with car too), a 3" down tube, cold air box, and a T-bird intercooler (original OEM intercooler goes with car too). Everything on the car works - right down to the underhood light and foglights. Of course the A/C does not work since it is off the car. Any questions do not hesitate to ask. For those of you who have not been lucky enough to own or drive an SVO - try it - you will not be sorry. Very fun, quick car that will also get you 30 mpg. Wish I could hold onto her, but at this particular time in my life I am not able. Why buy a $2000 junkpile that you have to put thousands into to look and run halfway decent??? This car needs nothing except somebody who will enjoy turning on the key and turning on the boost! You do NOT need to reupholster! You do NOT need new carpet! You do NOT need any svo specific leather items! You do NOT need any front lighting! All SVO specific stuff is in tact! The parts to these cars are what will cost you a fortune...save money in the long run and jump on this opportunity! Why spend huge money on a car that needs parts?!?! Spend that money on gas to enjoy THIS car! VERY fair reserve price - it is getting very difficult to find a rust free Fox body mustang, or one that hasnt been punished....this car is RUST FREE and has NOT been punished/hit/wrecked. Great opportunity. Car is registered at svoca.com Good luck and thank you for looking
