For sale is a 1986 Porsche 944 turbo with an LS1 motor transplant. Here are the details: -Basic conversion hardware includes: polyurethane motor mounts, custom cast aluminum bell housing, custom GM clutch disk with Porsche center spline, and custom hood bulge for clearance. retains factory metal hood with factory latch.-LS1 motor at 38000 miles at time of install (from a '99 firebird trans am)-ultralight forged steel flywheel (22 pounds)-heavy duty pressure plate-transaxle: 5 Speed from an '88 944 turbo S with LSD (40% lockup)-euro fog light assembly (310W total power)-pop up headlight delete panel (GT racing... carbon fiber)-fiberglass rear bumper (3 pounds)-stitch welded cockpit floorboard and trunk area-seam welded strut towers-suspension,brakes, and sway bars from a '88 944 turbo S with MO30 option (front coil-overs, 4-piston calipers, and drilled rotors on all corners)-buddy club racing seats (only 11 pounds each)-dashboard is wrapped in swede and includes custom mounted gauges for oil temp, water temp, and voltage.-custom chromoly strut tower bar with weld-in mounts-Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with liquid-filled gauge-custom aluminum fuel rails with AN fittings-pro flo 350 fuel and oil lines-oil cooler-oil filter relocation using large capacity filter (total oil capacity 7 quarts)-custom baffled oil pan-custom ceramic-coated headers (inside and out)-custom Y-pipe with v-band clamp-scavenging exhaust from 3 in. to 4 in. with stainless steel Borla muffler-Painless wiring harness (tucked and wrapped in black braided loom)-CCW classic 3-piece wheels: fronts are 18x9, rears are 18x10.5-Tires are Hankook Ventus RS2: fronts are 265/35/18, rears are 315/30/18 with 80% tread left! That list includes the majority of the features, however there are a few things it lacks: no climate control, no carpet, no windshield wipers (i have all the hardware just not on the car), no radio, and the paint is faded. The car is accident-free. It does, however, have a dent in the driver side door and quarter panel from where a neighbor backed down her driveway and bumped into it. There is also a small dent in the driver side fender (previous owner). The car is complete and legal to drive on public roads, however, it is a project and would require a little more work (such as interior carpet, radio, etc.) to be complete. This car was built for the track and such things were deemed unnecessary. On the dyno, it made 330 hp and 350 tq at the wheels. The car weighs apprx. 2500 pounds on an empty tank.The entire project exceeded $20,000 in parts alone. If you are looking for a reliable, fun, and FAST car, do not hesitate to bid. In the 18 months (50 miles a day) that I've drove this car after the LS1 motor had been put in I have never had an issue with the car. The car runs beautiful and it was built right with no corners cut. I have receipts for most of the stuff that has been put in the car. Oil changes were done on a regular basis at 2000 miles and only with Mobil 1 fully synthetic engine oil paired to a K&N or Mobil 1 oil filter.
