This auction is your opportunity to own an original 1979 Pontiac Trans Am daily driver. I have owned this vehicle over 3 years and purchased it from an acquaintance who owned it for over 15 years. I can speak for the past 18 years in stating the vehicle was garage kept and cared for. I frequently admired this vehicle when the previous owner had it and asked if it was ever for sale to give me a call. When the opportunity arose, I jumped on it. My only reason for selling it now is purely financial. This vehicle sounds, looks, and drives incredible. I have yet to take it out without turning heads. The vehicle has been solid. It has a 6.6L 403 with an automatic transmission. The BF Goodrich tires are in excellent shape. Over the past three years I have done following repairs and maintenance: Splash Guards 6/29/2007, Battery 5/12/2007, Spark Plugs, Electronic Choke and Oil Change 4/24/2007, Steam Clean Interior, Carb Calibration, Starter, Flywheel, Alignment, and Oil Change 4/19/2010. Recently replaced distributor cap/rotor and had the transmission serviced (maintenance). It is basically original with the exception of cosmetics or accessories. I am sure it has had some freshen ups as far as paint and interior panels and while not perfect looks pretty good. Aftermarket rims, shifter, stereo, tachometer, and oil pressure gauge have been installed. However the vehicle comes with the original honey comb rims (and an extra set), original shifter, and the original gauges are still there and were in working condition when the accessories were installed by previous owner. Original owners manual included as well. On a rating spectrum this vehicle would be characterized as “well maintained transportation”. The vehicle is being sold as/is. Serious bidders only.
