Vehicle Detail
(I'll be posting more photos tomorrow of interior, exterior, and engine) 1964 DODGE DART 270, 2 Door hardtop, with slant 6 cylinder engine. A very nice find for this 46 year old classic. Great retro styling and nice lines. Runs well, drives well, does not blow any smoke, no overheating issues. NO RUST on this California beauty. All original interior, with original carpet and cloth seats. The Stereo has been modified and a Pioneer Detachable Face CD player has been added along with two Alpine door speakers. Body is straight and does not appear to have been in any accidents, all chrome is in decent shape and still very shiny. All exterior moulding is still present as are the emblems. Original hub caps are intact and not all scratched up. Original color was a metallic green and was switched to a beautiful Metallic Blue. It was a complete repaint, with trunk, door jambs, and engine compartment also repainted. I had it repainted recently in the same beautiful Metallic Blue. Looks like a brand new car. Original carpet was re-dyed in original blue that was a bit faded and looks great now. Windows roll up and down nicely, interior fan works, as do all lights, wipers, and horn. All keys work with the locks. Engine area was power washed and detailed, and looks great. Trunk was also repainted. As with all my cars, this one has been washed, vacuumed, and cleaned inside and out, so you will get a clean car. FLAWS: front bench seat has some rips, on driver's side. Carpet has hole (about 5" diameter) in the rear area. The front dash vents have cracks in them. Front windshield has a chip in the center and there is some discoloring. Steering wheel feels as if it has some play in it, but does not affect the way it drives. This just could be the way this car is , I don't know. Driver's side headlight ring has a "bite" in the corner, and should be replace with a newer one. Overall a very nice Dart. Clean CA Title in hand. Also, this vehicle is SMOG EXEMPT in CA. Current registration too. N.A.D.A. Car Value is from $3,000 to $7,300. ********** PAYMENT TERMS ARE AS FOLLOWS: I accept: C.O.D if you are local, m.o., cashier's check, personal check (allow to clear). Sorry, No Paypal at this time for payment, only for $200 deposit . I might be able to do paypal for full payment, but please contact me first. Please contact me within 24 hours, Deposit due in 2 days . Full amount of vehicle is due in 7 days. Please pick up or ship car within 1 week of auction's end. If you are local, and can see the car in person, I encourage you to come out and see it for yourself. Photos can only show you so much. Don't come out to "see" the car once you have won the auction to see if you LIKE the car. Once the auction ends and you are the high bidder, you are the legal owner. (check the ebay rules). If you are the high bidder, and for whatever reason do not get the car, you forfeit your $200 deposit. I don't know the previous history on this car, just what I know personally. I go through the car and do a check list of what is working or not, and any defects. I also drive the car for a few days to see how she "feels". Car was bought at a Benefit sale and title is in the name of the donor (the previous owner), But it's signed by them, and I have the bill of sales that go with it. IF OUT OF STATE: Check with your local DMV (before bidding) if this is OK. If your state requires a title in the seller's name (me), then please don't bid. (unless of course you have someone here in CA to title it for you). Please consider this before bidding, it is YOUR responsibility to check. Please bid responsibly, this is a binding contract. By placing a bid or clicking on the Buy-it-now option, you are agreeing to all terms. I reserve the right to cancel bids and end the auction early. If you need more pics, please let me know which area. Buyer is responsible for the shipping and transporting of car. CHECK YOUR LOCAL YELLOW PAGES OR ONLINE FOR CAR SHIPPERS OR AUTO TRANSPORTERS FOR THEIR PRICING FROM ZIP 91606. This car is totally drivable, but you assume full responsibility if you want to drive her a long distance. I am selling it as is. These cars are bought at a local benefit sale where the proceeds go to good causes. Most cars come from affluent communities where the owner's buy a new vehicle and donate their extra vehicle for a tax write off. I've been buying cars at charity events for years and everyone makes out. I try to be as honest as possible about these cars and list what I know, but I'm not a mechanic or body repair person. I have done this for years and everyone has ben happy with the cars. I HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK, mostly from cars on ebay. If you really need to call me, go ahead, but I've described it as best as I can: 818-272-1112 God bless and hope you love your car purchase. **NOTE** If you have "0" Feedback, please email me first to bid, I've had too many flakes in the past. On Sep-18-10 at 00:19:14 PDT, seller added the following information: ** New Updated Photos just added ** Correction, stereo is a Panasonic, not Pioneer. Also, there are 2 6x9 Alpine speakers mounted on the rear deck. driver's window crank, handle knob is off, but I have it. Sun visors have seam rips. Top of driver's door on inside above window crank handle has some scratches in the paint. Rear deck has crackling in the material and is coming apart on the back part. Trunk lid has some small dings on it. There is no front plate for this car. both side mirrors the chrome is tarnished. I'll upload some pics of the engine on Saturday. On Sep-18-10 at 00:43:17 PDT, seller added the following information: ** NOTE ** This is a 1965 model, not a 64 as listed. Sorry for the type-o On Sep-18-10 at 14:33:56 PDT, seller added the following information: ** NOTE ** Just to be clear on the year/model. This vehicle is a 65 Dodge Dart, but I just re-checked the TITLE, and it is registered as a "1964". This can be cleared up easily at the DMV, by submitting a "notice of error" when you register the vehicle, you will receive a new title with the correct year on it. Also, just uploaded new pics of the engine. And, I am including the original Owner's manual in great shape, along with some old repair receipts. Also; I have the original stock AM radio that came with the car, and some extra arm rests. Comes with a spare, newer jack, lug wrench, and extra hubcap.
