Vehicle Detail

*** Car was incorrectly listed with a Salvage Title when I bought it from a used car dealer in NJ some months ago - that is why the "AutoCheck Score" is so low !! Up for sale is my1991 Dodge Stealth R/T. I bought it about 9 months ago with the intention of restoring it but have since lost interest. I am instead getting my dream car in a few months (a early model Pontiac Trans AM to restore instead) When I bought the Stealth I knew the transmission was bad and had to be replaced. I bought the car in New Jersey and had it shipped on a transport carrier to GA. I replaced the transmission with one with that was rebuilt and per the previous (ebay) owner it has 10,000 - 15,000 miles on it. The body has some parking lot dings on the side but I do have a do it your self kit that can easily pull them out. The following parts have all been installed new: drive axles and cv joints, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, starter, fuel regulator, belts and hoses and power antennae and new carpeting. Also new timing belt/pulley and water pump. I replaced the engine with one bought on e-bay but it will not idle correctly. The original engine that I pulled out had bad valve seals but had great compression before I replaced it. (The compression range is 165-185 psi for these engines). I installed the engine that is in the car now, but it does not idle correctly. I will give the additional engine and transmission that I pulled out the car to the winning bidder. Someone mechanically inclined could pull the heads off the engine in the car and put it on the engine I pulled out the car and put that engine back in the car and that will produce a very strong motor. I have just lost interest in it and am ready to move on. So along with the car you will have extra things such as [an extra engine and transmission, alternator, starter, A/C unit, manifold, PS pump, electrical harness, ECU (the car's computer), various sensors etc.] (I have included pictures of the extra engine and transmission) Or, you could buy/install a low milage engine with less than 50k miles that is imported from Japan (they are listed here on ebay) for about $500- $600 The driver's seat (leather electric) was in bad shape so I got one (cloth) from a junk yard and installed it in the car. I still have the original electric seat that I pulled out the car. Also, the passenger fender was bent up when I bought it, so you could either fix it or buy one from a junk yard for about $60 or less depending on where you live. I replaced the sun dried steering wheel with one that is in excellent shape. I would rate the car's interior as a "B" or "B+" grade. The dash has a slice/cut about an inch long just above the glove box (and it can easily be glued - it can be seen in one of the pics) The car has a lot of potential but as mentioned, I have just lost interest in it and am ready to move on to something else. The car will start but should be trailered until the needed work is completed. I will be happy to honestly answer any questions about the car and send any specific pictures as requested. Feel free to contact me to take a look at it. You can call me at (678)925-5130 if you have any questions. Thanks for looking and bid with confidence. Regards, Christopher And with this being a used car, no warranty is implied or offered - The winning bidder will have to arrange for transportation of the vehicle - I can assist the transport company with loading if necessary. ****I HAVE THE CLEAR TITLE IN HAND ***** On Sep-21-10 at 05:31:24 PDT, seller added the following information:***** I almost forget - I have a set of 4 (slighty used) 17" inch wheels that I bought a few months ago but never got a chance to put them on the car. They are in fantastic shape and for an additonal $350.00 they can go to the winning bidder - you will not be disappointed with them. I posted a picture of one of them. I did not buy the center caps or lug nuts when I bought the rims. Thanks - Mike *****
