This is a near perfect, completely original Cobra R, (right down to the original battery). It has spent its entire life in an immaculate private collection kept in an air conditioned and heated display area. It has never been in the rain and washed only a handful of times. I was fortunate to have worked on the project that built this car (engineering). As such I picked the car up personally from Roush's in Detroit. I had the assembly team not apply the window stickers which are included as part of the original documentation in unused condition. All production pull sheets and printouts are also included. This maybe one of the best documented Cobra R's in potentially the best condition available. Those not familiar with the car may from research find it to be the best handling and fastest mustang ever produced by Ford. Many car magazines put the quarter mile times in the high 12's. Car and Driver August 14, 2001 found the car to be quicker in the quarter and better on the skid pad (.99g) than the ZO6 Vette. Other features include the factory original; 5.4 liter double over head cam motor, Bassani / Borla exhaust, Brembo Brakes etc. The car has 2,775 miles. The only known flaws in the car I have included photos to document. All flaws are also direct from the factory and include some spider cracking in the front of the hood where the "Power Dome" mates with the metal frame. Some small blisters in the hood in lay up and a small scratch on the rear bumper. The hood is an issue most all Cobra R's have. I did not fix it to keep it original. If a new buyer would like it fixed I can have it repaired before shipping. The scratch in the rear bumper was accomplished at Roush's in pre-delivery. The car is one of 300 built which makes it one of the rarest mustangs to come out of Ford.
