You are Bidding on a 1976 VW camper. This is a restore project! and will be sold as is! This is the first vehicle that I have ever owned and has brought me many fond memories over the years. To my knowledge this bus has only had three owners . The first owners bought it off the showroom floor then sold it to one of my friends in the mid-ninetys and me being the third owner. The purple people eater has a 2.0 liter fuel injected motor (that is not running). This bus needs body work as well as engine work. I rebuilt the motor two years ago, it ran for a day then died. The problem seems to be in the fuel injection. I have checked and cleaned all injectors, tested fuel relay, and fuel pump. When I ran a test it shows no juice going to the injectors. The wiring harness for the fuel injection is in bad shape and is more than likely the problem. I have found a complete replacement kit for this but I just don't have the time to keep playing with it. All camping equipment is there and is in good shape. Camping equipment includes sink (working) stove (will work but disconnected the propane) refrigerator (needs to be charged) two interior electrical outlets (that work) all outside hookups work and are ready for use. Pop up canvas is in fair condition some rips and tears. This camper sleeps 4 adults and is great for camping. All the lights work as well as the directionals, horn, and wipers. Like I said earlier, this is a great restore project for the right person. With a little bit of TLC this bus could be running again and spreading joy like it did when I ran it. The buyer assumes all responsibility for pickup as I will not be shipping.
