Vehicle Detail
1983 Rolls Royce CamargueThis is a very clean 1983 RR Camargue with 52k original miles. These were introduced in 1975 and the bodies were built by Mulliner Park Ward. In 1975 these were the most expensive production cars on the planet. 147k!! In the 11 years these were built, only 530 were made, and about 30-40 year sent to the US. This was the flagship for Rolls Royce during their run. This one is rock solid and I would consider her a very nice #2 car. It is obvious she has always been garaged and well maintained. This car came from an estate with the '67 I have listed (was) and the owner was a Rolls Royce collector. Everything seems to be in working order but the A/C is not blowing as cold as it once did. Mechanically, It would seem she is in excellent shape. I took her on a drive and she felt very sure footed and responsive. The brakes are very good shape and she stops nicely. Shifting was good and nothing seemed amiss. The tires are near new and look it. I feel it can be driven anywhere now, though I would recommend you look her over completly before taking her onto a long drive through Wisconsin in December. The paint is in excellent condition though I am not sure if it is original. I do know they did a very fine job if it is repainted as over spray is not an issue. It looks good from a foot. The rubber is in fantastic shape. The stainless is in excellent condition and the grill is perfect. The interior is wonderful shape. The leather is still very soft and needs nothing. The original carpets are excellent due to the 9 foot thick fluffy shag protecting them. The headliner is like new and the rear package tray is perfect. The original radio has been replaced with a more functional CD player but I think the original is in a box in the trunk. I will have to see about that as I am helping a family friend move these cars and he is on the last bit of summer vacation. I know there will be questions and I will do my best to answer them. The buy it now price reflects plenty of research and a down economy as these were selling for much more 4 years ago. I am sure you will be happy with her. She is a very clean, looks excellent and ready to Rolls.
