This is a 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner Convertible, Original 352 Big block V-8, car has power steering, power brakes, automatic, dual exhaust, also has a completely excellent working power top. This car is a time warp! Car retains all of its original paint (except the hood). This car is completely original other than I put a set of 15 inch Crager mag wheels and super nice tires.Also I just purchased a new black boot for the top. I will list the good the bad and the reason I am selling my Galaxie! The GOOD! I just removed the 352, and regasketed the engine, oil pan, rear main seal, timing cover, new timing chain and gasket, new melling oil pump, intake gasket, and valve cover gaskets. I also replaced the front seal in the transmission and trans pan gasket, the engine just had seepage from sitting and not being driven, The trans did not leak but it would have been foolish not to replace those seals and gaskets while it was torn down. I also replaced the rearend gasket and changed all the fluids engine, trans and rearend!! The car shows 72,000 miles and I believe it. New fuel pump also pulled the gas tank cleaned it and replace the old fuel. This it the only things I see that need attention, It has a original motorcraft two barrel and has a hesitation when you first take off(could be accelerater pump). I just drove it over the weekend 250 mile trip with no problems It rolls down the highway at 75 no problem!!! winshield has slight wiper marks, all the other glass is great, interior is very nice and so is the carpet for being original, passengers side seat has split seams but could be sewed again, seats are in excellent condition, top is in good shape just needs a good cleaning, I am having the locks repaired and will be in working order when auction is over, Horn does not work, Body This is not a show car!! This is a great weekend driver, its an original paint car that is very straight, no bondo, and is pretty solid, floors look solid, trunk looks solid (they did put a couple 4x4 patch's in the trunk (see Photos) she is starting to bubble a little behind the back tires on the lower quarters, not bad has not got any worse since I purchased 5 years ago, also inside by each tailight in the floor there is one small rust are on each side about the size of a small peach I suggest coming out to take a look at her or giving me a call and I will do a walk around for you. I am going to sell this car no reserve! I have a Buy it now of $8500.00 to be honest I paid 12,000 for this car back in 2005 and have stuck another couple grand into her just in parts!
