Vehicle Detail

Relisted due to a non-paying/non-communicating bidder who just wanted to waste your and my time! SO.....if you are a serious bidder and really want to purchase this truck, please bid, but I will contact you close to the end of the auction if you have not contacted me (and you have the bid) to verify your intentions. With no response, your bid WILL be cancelled. It is a ridiculous practice to bid on something that you have NO intention of buying. That being said............ This was my father's truck. He bought it at the same time I bought my truck in '03 He passed away at the end of July and no one in the family has a use or need for it. It has been mechanically maintained very well. I bought dad filters every Christmas for his truck from Geno's Garage and he was diligent with service. Most of the miles have been put on the truck from driving from Kentucky to Florida and back. I felt like I got the short end of the stick because dad's truck gets 26-29 mpg on the interstate at 70 mph. Mine will not do that. Driving around town it gets 22-24 mpg. Does not smoke or burn oil. Dad used to have a small 5th wheel camper that he pulled (hence the mount in the bed of the truck), but he didn't do that for at least the last 4 years. As far as I can tell, everything works. The driver's seat shows some wear and has a small tear in the cover at the front left corner. There are a brand new set of Covercraft seat covers that my brother and I bought dad for father's day that will go with the truck. The driver's floor mat shows some wear also. The truck has a nice set of DEE ZEE running boards/splash guards. Tow hooks up front and 2" receiver in the back with trailer hookup and brake controller in cab. Carpets look really good. I didn't see any issues there. The rest of the seats are great. Has under seat storage in rear. Factory tinted windows. Interior of bed has lots of scratches, but I didn't see anything major to note. In the picture it has mulch remnants from my brother using it. Other than that, I just had it cleaned and waxed and the interior shampooed. This March, I put two new batteries in the truck from Auto Zone. Deka high CCA batteries. The tires up front have about 20k on them and the rears have about 30k. Dad was from the school that you bought (2) new tires and put them on the front and put your best two of your four old on the back. He got a flat and that threw his whole tire rotation schedule off. I believe the tires are Transforce HT's. The BAD............Dad never really cared where he parked so there are a few "dings" on the side of the truck. I tried to capture them in the pictures, but I'm not sure how they came out. On the right rear quarter, this last winter dad got stuck in his driveway and instead of calling for someone to help he slid up against the garage and scuffed/scraped the side of the bed across the tail light assembly. (I pulled him out) The left front headlight lens has some haze on it that I am sure will come out with some of that "lens polish" and I will give you a bottle with the truck that I used on a '99 Dodge Ram that I sold. The driver's mirror (in picture) is broken on the back side. It functions like it should, but the plastic housing is damaged. I'd probably rate the body a 7 out of 10. Truck drives great, is very dependable and looks SHARP from 50 feet away. Looks good when you get up on it, but there are a few scratches and dings that take away from it. As you can tell from the pics it IS two-tone so touch up is much easier and I'm guessing $500 worth of body work and touch up paint and you've got a VERY nice truck. It's a one-ton that doesn't ride like a one-ton when empty but has plenty of power and weight handling capability to do whatever you want to do. Please feel free to ask any questions and good luck and God Bless!
