Vehicle Detail

O.K. Lets try this again. Iam selling my 1971 dodge demon. I purchased the car from a gentelman in amnityville ny about 8 months ago who had it towed from arizona. He partially disasembled it and had it media blasted and primed. Then it sat in a garage. I purchased it from him and towed it home to south jersey. I sanded the whole car and sprayed on an epoxy primer, blocked the whole car, sprayed on a sandable primer, blocked it again, and finaly sprayed on a sealer than a beutiful mopar silver that was as close to the original color as I could find. I then sprayed the hood, tops of fenders, cowl, top of doors and around the drip rail in house of colours matte black. I know its not original but it looks really sharp. I then installed a flat black factory longitude stripe and tail panel stripe. I put on a repo go wing(not the cheep one),14 in rallys, factory repo hood pins that look like the originals with lanyards that go through the grill. The grill is restored to perfection. All the interior steal including the dash has been sprayed in the exterior silver as the trunk. The car has new brakes all the way around. Matching numbers 318 2 barrel that runs great. I have a good running 360 if you feel like pulling it included. The chrome is all decent. The floors are beutiful and have been coated in a kevlar based rubber coating as has the inside of the doors. I have a brand new black trim parts carpet and year one headliner that is yet to be installed included. I also have a new package tray with speaker cutouts. All in all, I would say about 40 to 50 hours to have the car completely assembled and ready for cruz night. Brand new dual exhaust. All that really needs to be installed is the headliner, carpet, and seats. The car was purchased in n.y. and any car in ny that was built before 74 dosnt get a title, just a registration which I have. Iam also still in contact with the gentelman I bought it from who is a great guy. If there is any trouble he will straighten it out. The car is forsale to the continental u.s. only. Dont miss out on a chance to own a 71 demon that hasnt been cut up due to rust issues. All original sheetmetal!!! 500 dollar deposit due 24 hours at end of auction. Send me your email adress and I will send you as many pics as you like. Iam having trouble posting pictures. This is a running, driving car that will be alot of fun. I hate to sell it but I just bought a new chally and I cant have two cars! I have a stack of receipts from both previous owners and the original build sheet! I will help with delivery any way I can. I forgot to mention, Iam looking for a daily driver a100 dodge pickup or van to run back and forth to work. Nothing perfect, something worth around 2k. Maybe we can make a deal. Thanks againOn Sep-08-10 at 17:55:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add that this car is not a shiney paintjob hidding a bunch of rust. This car is wearing all its original, rust free quarters, trunk extensions, wheel houses, etc. The underneath is just as clean as the exterior. All the torque boxes, torsion bar braces, cowl, fire wall is perfect. I forgot to mention it is an original a/c car and 3 speed wiper car that has the wiper motor and does function which is very rare on an a body. The previous owner had the engine and trans removed by a local repair shop and had the engine and trans resealed and new freeze plugs installed. I have all the receipts. The car isnt perfect but is a very clean example of an american classic that wouldnt take much to make perfect. Thanks again for looking! On Sep-09-10 at 12:51:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Another update. I need this car sold asap! Iam lowering the buy it now price to 6500! I probably have twice that into it! Make a cash offer. I may just take it! Thanks again for looking! On Sep-10-10 at 15:15:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I will be posting alot more pictures tomorow afternoon of the underside of the car/subframe/wheelwells/trunk/interior. I forgot to mention I may also consider partial trades on early plymouth trailduster or ramcharger(pre 1980)
