1976 Volkswagen Beetle CLASSIC! This is a really nice Beetle, with perfect vintage "Electric Lime Green" metallic paint. Just gorgeous! This is the original color, although it has had a recent paint job that is beautiful. Not only great looking and fun, but it also drives and handles well. this is also the Sunroof edition. Fuel injection engine for more reliability and also provides better gas mileage. Starter and fuel pump were replaced last year. Tires are recent and are on the chrome standard VW wheels with center chrome caps. All glass is intact with no chips or cracks and have newer rubber seals on all windows, as well as a professional tint job. All lights and signals work, door locks work, wipers, speedo, and Pioneer cassette stereo with mounted rear speakers sound nice. Interior light works as well as the tiny one under the dash. The floor pans were professionally treated for rust (common orange color paint), and are solid. Also no holes or rust in trunk area or engine area. However, running boards are original and seem to have some rust under the rubber. Engine was powerwashed and detailed. Carpet is intact but was a little worn, so I re-dyed it black. Comes with a useful center floor console as well. Previous owner added an oil temp. gauge and oil pressure gauge on a chrome plate on the left side of the dash. Both front and rear door panels were replace and custom chrome window cranks added. Seats slide front and back with no problem and well as bend forward. Trunk area is clean and has the fitted "loop" black carpet. Comes with spare, jack, tool and a new rubber weather-strip for the trunk. Here are the flaws: the sunroof is not operating properly it needs the gear for it and needs to be propped (nothing happens when you turn the crank), it also has some tears in the headliner. Driver's seat has a chunk missing from side and has some seam rips, also the lower cushion need some new foam as it "sinks" (but does not have any springs or material protruding) rear seat also has some seam rips and older material is dried and cracked (in short; If I were to keep this Bug, I would have the seats re-done). Also, the driver's side plastic knob is missing. Interior door sills has many chips, and scratches on it. Sunvisors are missing. Left rear tail light has a large chip missing on the top, and the right has the usual "cracking" on the top. Although paint is pretty flawless, I did notice some tiny bubbles on the sun roof, but I don't think they are from rust, but rather in how the clear dried. Driver's side window has a "stuck spot" when rolling up the window about 80% up, you have to yank on it and it will roll up the rest of the way. I drove this car for about 30 miles on the freeway with no problems, I do notice however that there is a hesitation sometimes in first gear, so I don't know if the clutch needs an adjustment or something else. It does not do it all the time. Also the brakes are low. Comes with the original California blue/yellow plates. Registration is good through April 2011. Clean title in hand. Car was bought from the previous owner and title is in their name, But it's signed by them, and I have the bill of sale that goes with it. This should be fine if you are from out of state as well.
