I am offering this gorgeous baby blue 1979 Mercedes 450 SL convertible that has been in my family since 1990.The car has been kept in the garage for many years .The car was just recently serviced and is in great running and driving condition.The car only has 49,158 actual miles (extremely low miles for a vintage SL).Books and records are included.Car is in exceptionally clean original condition.The car was always from dry California with absolutely no rust anywhere.The car is completely stock and original.The car still has the original silver alloy wheels.This is definitely a low mile survivor that was kept in gorgeous condition.The rare baby blue paint is spectacular and in prisitne condition.There are no paint issues like scratches or dings.The doors,trunk,and hood all close perfectly.The body is factory straight and has no sun damage anywhere.Numbers matching car with no previous accident history.The light blue paint is definitely a crowd pleaser and gets attention everywhere you go.Driving this car down the street is such a pleasure.The car came standard with the fuel injected V-8 motor(very reliable and trouble free).The car runs and drives like a dream.The car come with alot of luxury goodies like working ice cold factory air conditioning and power windows.It,of course,came standard with power steering and power disc brakes.The car does have the original working Becker radio.The car also has both the hardtop and softtop.This makes it great for any type of weather or use.The dark blue canvas softtop is very nice and has clear back windows.The hardtop is in excellent shape.The tires are fairly new.The original text interior is spotless.The original blue seats are in unmarked and unblemished and the seat pads are still firm and non saggy.The carpets are beautiful and correct.The trunk is totally original and has never had any rust(I know this area is very succeptible to rust).It does have the original tool kit and spare tire.The spare tire holder is in perfect original shape with no holes or rust.The car is in amazing condition both cosmetically and mechanically.No work is needed to drive this car to your nearest show or special event.This 31 year old gem are becoming hard to come across,especially the first year 450 SL.This is the collectible one and would make a great addition to anyone who want a fantastic low mile Mercedes convertible that will always be a timeless classic.Would love to see this go to a good new home.I think it would make a great addition to a fine collection or just someone who wants a very nice old and reliable SL to show off in.This is part of my family classic car collection that I am offering at No Reserve!
