Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1950 oldsmobile 88 sedan. Are you guys ready for a fun running and driving project car ?For 60 years years old it has held up pretty well. Just driving this car ten miles the other day, I think I counted 5 thumbs up. It looks like it originally came with a dark green paint; It now has a flat black rat rodesque color. The paint is driver quality at best: the door jams still have dark green, there are flaws in paint as seen in picture but from twenty feet It has a great look. The trunk is very original and for 60 years, is in decent shape; it does have a couple of holes as pictured. The interior is completely original: The front seats need to be reupholstered, its missing drivers side door panel, the back seat needs a good cleaning and has a few flaws, and the car needs to be carpeted. The other door panels are actually pretty good and the headliner is passable. The motor currently in it appears to be a 60's GM small block V8; not exactly sure but it runs pretty good. The front end is probably the bigest problem on the car :it pulls hard left very badly and as a safety procaution, wouldn't drive the car over 40 mph in its current condition. I would highly recommend major front end work for the winning bidder. The rims , hubcaps, and tires are all in decent shape. Much of the chrome on the car is original and thus pitted. The underneath of the car looks good for the age of the car. Inspections and questions are welcomed and encouraged. The car is located in maple grove, minnesota. This car is 60 years old and will have flaws. Winning bidders that live more than 20 miles away should trailer vehicle. I want to keep my 100 percent feedback so I have been very honest in describing car. Good luck and happy bidding on this 1950 oldsmobile!!!!!!!On Sep-07-10 at 14:35:59 PDT, seller added the following information: On second look, the motor may actually be original. It has a generator, which leads me to believe its a 50's motor. I have taken pictures of motor ; please look at the pictures of motor before bidding. The battery has been converted to 12 volt.thanks
