1960 BUICK LE SABRE CONVERTIBLE You are looking at a one family owned 1960 Buick Le sabre Convertible. This car is a project but an EXCELLENT CANDIDATE for a restoration. Some things have already been done, like new power top motor, new windshield wiper motor and new convertible top rubber and felt in the trunk. This car was bought from the brother of the original owner who was a school teacher and drove this car from new all the way up to about 1999. She kept her in good running shape and but let somethings just be. She has always been a Washington and Oregon car and though there is surface rust in places she is over all very solid. She is in her original colors and really looks sharp from 15 feet. The paint was redone in 1995 and has some blemishes but I had her buffed out professionally and she came out quite nice though if you are planning a full resto then it would need to be redone. If you plan on driver status then she just needs some touching up. The interior, as you can see, is shot. The only real good news is the back seat is original and looks like it can be saved. No one ever sat there so its in very good shape. Good news? Everything is there minus the vinyl piece that hangs from the back seat separating the trunk from back seat and the parade boot. The rear plastic on the top will need to be replaced as it is original and cracked to chit. The gauges all work minus the clock. The steering wheel is in good shape and the dash needs a little work but over all in fair condition. The top is original and in good shape. Mechanically she FIRES RIGHT UP AND SHIFTS LIKE A DREAM! I drover 75 miles from home and yes I was under some stress. The carb is original and will need a rebuild but she does go and when the 4 barrel opens up goes good. She will need a tune up as well I am sure. The top end was reported to have been redone at 138k miles but the brother is not positive and no one left to verify. She leaks a little oil and my bet is a good amount of running will solve that problem. I do not think she needs a rebuild as she has good power and no black smoke pouring out the exhaust.. Power Steering Power Top Power Brakes ORIGINAL COLORS ORIGINAL DRIVETRAIN This is a project be assured of that but has a lot of potential and could be made into a driver pretty quickly or make her it to a 30k car with some motivated attention. She runs and drives and gets compliments but open the door and you need to see what needs to be done. Rust is light but know she can be worked into something specialQuestions?Sean 206-326-9240 OVER 500 CLASSICS SOLD ON EBAY! PLEASE READ THAT FEEDBACK!
