FOR SALE!!!!!!!!! 1980 MERCEDES G-WAGEN I love, love, love this car. One truly feels like one’s driving a unique vehicle when behind the wheel of this beauty. I bought the car on eBay in April, 2010 for $11,100. Shortly thereafter, work took me to NYC. While a great, fun car to drive, the G-Wagen isn’t the best vehicle for living in NYC. It breaks my heart to have to sell this car. Previous owners lived in California and Texas. This car is titled in Virginia, and recently passed all inspections. Recent work done on the car includes: BRAKES: Rebuilt front brake calipers, new master cylinder, new rear brake lines and rear proportioning valve. New rear drum brakes. ENGINE: Electronic ignition, new coil, all new belts, necessary hoses, rebuilt weber carb conversion, new exhaust manifold ($600), msd ignition wires, fuel lines, throttle cable and gas pedal. TRANSMISSION: Completely rebuilt with new synchros (around $2000) and rubber shift linkage bushings and gaskets. MISC: Sandblasted and powdercoated all 5 wheels. 5 brand new commercial t/a tires. New front seat covers, door mouldings, sun visors, shift knob, rear view mirror, and misc interior bits. Fog lights removed in order to pass inspection. Instrument panel needs to be repaired (Approximately $750 - $1,000). Good luck bidding.
