Vehicle Detail
This was my baby. I bought this v-strom new in September 05 as a leftover. I toured a little bit in 05 with soft saddlebags and decided to upgrade. For 2006 I got Givi bags and a mounting bracket. I also put on a Givi windshield which is cracked but I'll include it in sale. Currently I have Suzuki tall windshield on which is brand new. The stocker is there too. I changed the handlebars to a more comfortable bend and I put one tooth smaller front sprocket on it. I have oem sprocket which is still in great condition or you can get a speedohealer for $120 to correct speedometer. It has a Genuine Suzuki centerstand. I wouldn't have a bike with a chain without it. Maintenance is so easy on this one. It has a new chain and a Pyramid hugger over the rear wheel. The tires are Dunlop D607's. I've had Bridgestones and Metzelers and these are the tires I liked the best. Currently it has Leo Vince exhaust on it and I have the quiet inserts for these mufflers. The stockers are included as well. Hopefully I didn't leave out anything. It is in beautiful well maintained condition. The only flaws I can think of is the luggage rack has just a touch of surface rust on the rear edge where the trunk I had on it trapped a little water, also the clutch side engine case is discolored due to the engine wash at the car wash. Lastly the dash has some glue on it I can't get off where I had an xm antenna mounted. I've got a used tank bag I'll throw in too. Good luck and happy bidding. On Sep-02-10 at 09:32:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted the winning bidder to be happy with this bike and I wanted to make sure the maintenance was up to date so I checked the valve clearances. All valves are within 0.1 and 0.2 mm as they should be. Today I dropped it off at Fenders Cycle in Des Moines to get the throttle bodies synced. They are going to look it over too and make any suggestions if I need other maintenance but all seems to be great.
