For Sale: Full Size 1982 Chevy Blazer! She is mean and loud! Used to be my big fun truck to go have fun in. I then decided to take out the diesel motor, and replace it with a 350sb. I was never able to finish the project, as raising children quickly took precedence. My plans were to slowly replace the body parts, and bring her back to life, but this can be your vision now! I never once got stuck in this beast! She is old, and it shows. This would be a GREAT truck for a project for young and old alike. It will need to be towed, as it needs a torque converter, and a battery. I can bring a battery, so it can be started, and drove onto a trailer. I am unsure of the milage, well over 100K. 33" Tires, great for off road or normal driving. Approxamitly 90-95% tread left! Diesle motor removed. Replaced with a 350 Small block from an El Camino. Edelbrock 1406 600cfm electric choke 4bbl Carberator. Bought refurbished 2 years ago from Edelbrock! Floorboards re-done approx. 8 years ago Solid frame Good tranny, and rear-end last I drove it. Removable top Was lifted (6" or so?) prior to me owning it. Have additional hood. If you want it, I will include it at no additional charge. A TON of room under the hood to work in. Now for what it needs: Since it was a diesel, and now its a gas, it needs a new torque converter for a 700r4 Transmission (not sure if 27 slpine or 30 spline). The transmission worked fine last I drove it (pre engine swap). The blazer will start, and move, but extremely slow (2-10 mph), and will not shift into 2nd gear without a new torque converter. Tune up. The plugs are loaded up, so they need replaced. Engine backfires through carb bacause of this. Timing will also need to be properly set. Driver side door stopped working (wont open), and passenger door wont latch closed. Rear main seal, easily replaced when changing torque converter. One of the transmission lines leak, Easily fixed. Back window motor does not work. Cable can be turned with drill to lower it and open back gate. This truck is being sold 'As Is', and needs work. This would make a great project. I never had the time to make it a daily driver after the engine swap. The interior is not is good shape. No radio. Like I said, she was used for fun, not show. This truck can be a LOT of fun, just needs a little TLC, The body is that of an old 82 truck, its not in the best shape. But, it is not a huge rust bucket either. This auction is no reserve, but you can buy it now for $1350. Deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction. Truck to be picked up with 7 days of auction end.
