1983 Mercedes Benz 240D, mechanically sound, runs quietly and well. Has a 5 cylinder turbodiesel engine, transmission, speedometer cluster and 2.88 differential from a W123 300D installed. Mileage on the chassis is approximately 300k, and engine mileage is approximately 220k. The speedometer came from a 1985 300TD. The car also has european bumpers and H4 headlights installed. The body is straight, but has bad clear coat and some rust spots (see photos). The engine is strong with very little blowby. The transmission shifts nicely. The car has a new windshield, battery, and CV axle. The brakes are fairly new and work well. The interior is in good condition, but the pieces under the dash are missing, and the vinyl on the door frames is wrinkled. I replaced the old driver's seat with a comfortable low mileage replacement with good springs (sorry, it's blue). The tires are worn and need replacement (20% tread left). Working: All lights, horn, speedometer, oil pressure, fuel gauge, coolant temperature, clock, dash lights, wipers, turn signals, sunroof (sticky), heater, rear defroster, power mirror, block heater, hood latch, power windows, power steering, automatic transmission, vacuum central locks, aftermarket stereo (plays MP3s from CD or thumb drive) Not working: Air conditioning, cruise control, tachometer, dash control headlight adjuster, power antenna I drove this car daily from 2004 through 2008. I'd love to keep and drive it, but I have too many now and I've got to let this one go, along with all my spare/extra Mercedes W123 parts. I boxed up a lot of them in the trunk including interior switches, headlight lens, shocks, spare filters and fluids, and other items. They are included with the car if you want them.
