1998 MERCEDES CLK 320 - FLORIDA CAR - ORIGINAL OWNER - SUPERB CONDITION - ALWAYS GARAGED - LOW MILEAGE! This CLK has been babied from the get go. I am the original owner, non-smoker, and because I work out of my residence, this automobile has always garaged and in great shape given its age and low mileage. This Mercedes has been maintained to the letter by only licensed and trained Mercedes Technicians at our local dealership (Mercedes Benz of Pompano Beach, Florida). All work has been performed according to factory specifications on their premises. Recently (within the last month), a licensed Mercedes Technician, in conjunction with the factory, received superior attention by having nearly $3,000 of work performed on both its Air Conditioner and Engine Water Pump. This work carries its own separate 6 month / 6,000 mile warranty!!! Though the CLK's original extended warranty recently expired at 100,000 miles, it was fully inspected and verified to be in excellent shape. In addition to detailing the automobile, a paint and body shop recently repaired all minor scratches and blemishes with sanding, repainting and polishing to a like-new shine. That water still beads on this car is an understatement. It's impeccable. Most importantly, there is no rust or body damage that prevents the vehicle from operating perfectly. Mechanically, it is in superior shape and it drives like a dream. Fast, confident, sure footed and fun! While the automobile is in perfect running and operational order, the following items may require your attention - though none of these impair the drivability and performance of the vehicle: 1. A passenger side parking light needs to be replaced.2. A passenger electronic seat relay switch needs to be replaced. The electronic seat and switching is operational - only the forward and back directions are intermittent.3. The driver door has an audible click when opening and shutting. Again - there is no damage or inability to operate - either lubrication or parts replacement may be in order. Note too that all electronics are in perfect working order. This includes windows, door locks, Bose Premium Sound System with AM/FM/Weather/Cassette Radio (sorry no CD was installed on this 1998 model), front and rear defoggers, fog lamps, and illumination (save #1 above). The transmission, cruise control and engine - along with the icy cold air conditioner/heater - is in perfect order. In fact, and according to the CLK's on-board computer, Mercedes A-Service (required maintenance, lubrication, etc.) is not required for another 4,000 miles. Here's a few more descriptives about this excellent automobile: * The rear-wheel-drive luxury qualities are evident in this slightly longer and lower than a C-class powerhouse. * It has unique and timeless styling that are marked by the oval-lamp nose and married to a super powerful 3.2-liter V6 engine with a 5-speed automatic transmission. * Mercedes exceptional ASR traction control (which is driver-selectable on/of) and its full compliment of front and side airbags for both driver and passenger are most welcomed. * The CLK's antilock brakes are super tight and include Brake Assist features. Above all else, the powering steering is immaculate - and two smart keys are also included in the sale of the vehicle. * If you have kids, like I do, you'll love the "BabySmart" child-seat recognition system - but more importantly - because this CLK is built like a tank - you'll feel incredibly confident and safe driving your little ones around. * The tires are nearly new and have always been replaced with Mercedes recommended Continentals Conti Sport Tires. They are installed and are in great shape - as I very rarely drive the car. So why am I selling my baby? Truth is this: My daughter isn't a child anymore (she's nearly 8 years old and TALL), and I wanted to migrate from a 2-door to a sedan to lug her and her friends around. I hate to let this Mercedes go, but it just doesn't make sense for me to have to insure an additional automobile that, even now, is barely driven. Because I work out of my residence, this vehicle always remains in the garage - and I've not the space for a third vehicle...hence, I am putting this to auction in hopes that someone who can truly appreciate a babied vehicle of this type.
