Vehicle Detail

Well after someone (progressive-products) bid up our auction, then retracted (6 other times; auctions) The winning bidder felt uneasy about our intentions. So please bid only if you intend to follow through. This is a 49 yo car that has rusted through (read: Fred Flintstone) floor pans. With that said, it is a running & driving car in need of restoration! And when was the last time you saw one of these? <<<<((((PLEASE DON'T PLAY GAMES! IT IS $1000 NO RESERVE))))>>>> Ask questions or have someone come look at it. We are not trying to scam/mislead anyone. Read our past feedback. Here is our 1962 Pontiac Tempest Safari Wagon. We have a '62 Tempest Accessories pamphlet listing the options for this car. It is pretty much loaded EXCEPT for air conditioning, The car runs and drives, I drove it home 3-4 years ago. The tires are SHOT! It will run and drive onto a trailer or transport carrier. It has the usual rust in the floors, and we do mean rusted through in spots. But this isn't an east coast rust bucket. It has been in WA it's entire life, and when the original owner died it was then that the car was neglected and the carpet caused the rust in the floors. The doors open and close like new, windows roll smoothly, I even has a power window in the tailgate. We don't know if this works, but never tried it. We have collected a bunch of NOS parts for this and intended to restore this. It has the 166 horsepower 4 cylinder engine with the 4 barrel carb. Plenty of power. There was a bunch of work done to the car by the original owner and the receipt shows this. When you look inside the engine it is spotless. It has been partially disassembled (read: I took the doors off and seats out to get the rotten carpet out.) I labeled the bags for reassembly. It comes with original fender skirts from the '60's. It has the safari roof rack, chrome bumpers and bumper guards, chrome "no mar" fuel door guard. A lot of parts to aid with the restoration. The car has been on jack stands for the 3-4 years we have owned it. We can reinstall the doors for transportation purposes if requested. We will not take this off the stands before the sale. It can stay here for a reasonable amount of time as long as it is paid for in full. And as mentioned earlier the tires are no good so there will not be "test drives", it will drive onto a trailer with no problems. Our feed back is VERY important to us. If you have any questions please ask so we can answer them. We do not intend to mislead anyone! This is a 49 YO car. It has a lot of potential. Thanks for looking! <<<<<<(((((((((( Just found some more pictures of the car when I first started the disassembly. )))))))))))>>>>>>>>>> I just drove the car out of the garage and took 47 more pictures. There are pictures of the frame and rockers, in the valve cover, the antifreeze, engine compartment (both dusty and washed) the rain gutters, ect, The front passengers fender is a replacement at some time. Thanks again for looking. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/sredir?uname=jennifersnewlife&target=ALBUM&id=5507953922234498849&authkey=Gv1sRgCKvxi7-uyLWSlwE&feat=email
