1985 was the last year Mercedes made the gorgeous 123 series coupe with the turbo diesel engine . This car was exclusively built for the american market and was never available in Europe with this engine . They only made about 8007 of them .  My 300CD is black with palomino color MB-Tex interior . It is a beautiful color combination and i do get compliments on it every time i drive it . The car is very clean all around and there are a lot of pictures to show it . The paint is still very shiny and there are no dents or scrapes of any kind.  The interior is very nice as well .  This car runs very well . We took it to Las Vegas from Los Angeles several times and it is a pleasure to drive even on high speeds . There are most likely not too many 25 year old cars which still get 26-27 mpg that you really can drive every day . You can feel , that this car was built at a time , when they were made to last a lifetime and not just until the next model comes along . It always starts up fine and it is not slow at all . This must be the most reliable car i have ever owned .  All the windows and the sunroof work the way they should .
