Vehicle Detail

1983 Honda 500 Shadow VT500C, 13,270 miles, bike features a liquid cooled V-Twin engine, shaft drive, 5 speed transmission and disc front brake. The bike is in overall good condition, runs and drives great and is ready to ride with no repairs. New front tire last year, rear also almost new. New battery this Spring. The bike does have a few small scratches as you would expect of a bike of this age, but, nothing of major significance. There is one very small dent in the fuel tank in the front near where the handlebars clamp from where I assume a windshield mount had contacted it but it is not visible or even noticeable except on close inspection. Everything works as it should with the exception of the temperature gauge which is the only problem I am aware of. (This should be a simple fix of swapping out the sending unit or gauge with the parts bike. I just have not taken the time to address the inoperable gauge as it was not of concern to me) The only other area that could use attention are the turn signal stalks which could all use replacement. They are all taped right now and are certainly functional as is. Deteriorated and Broken stalks are common on Honda's of this era. They are available aftermarket new for about $10 apiece or you find them right here on e-bay for a wide range of pricing. Included with the sale is a 1984 500 Shadow VT500C parts bike, or it could be possibly put on the road again. It was a running bike, but has a bit of cam chain noise on deceleration. This bike donated it's started to the '83 but other than that it is mostly complete. I have the title for this bike too, but have not and did not plan to transfer it into my name. ( I would do so for the cost of transferring the title to me so I could assign it to the buyer. I would estimate this cost to be about $75 or the title for this bike will go with it as is)
