Vehicle Detail

1974 Lincoln Continetal Mark IV This car is the perfect candidate for either a daily driver or to restore. There is no rust, the body is straight, all major components are in place, the chrome is straight and shiny, and the glass is all near perfect. This vehicle has a clear tittle. It is not a "salvage" vehicle. The car needs nothing to drive right now as a daily driver. It is a very cool car that turns heads, sounds awesome, and is very quick! The motor: Recently rebuilt Ford 460 Edelbrock intake manifold Edlebrock 4 barrel carb Edelbock "Pro-Flow" air cleaner Mild Cam NOS nitrous System w/ four nitrous bottles Aftermarket aluminum radiator Newer custom dual exhaust All belts and hoses are good The motor is estimated to have less than 1000 miles on it since rebuild by the previous owner. Motor starts quickly and idles perfect. Under power it is smoth and feels strong throughout the power band. NOS system- Not currently hooked up. The power wire to the selenoid was cut by being sucked into the fan. I have never used the system. All system components are in place. The main bottle is located behind the front seat so it can be turned on by the driver. It has a NOS bottle mount to hold the bottle securly. A NOS spare bottle mount is located in the trunk. There are four nitrous bottles that come with this car. Listen to the car start and run here (video): http://s801.photobucket.com/albums/yy297/hotrodlincoln2010/?action=view¤t=DSCF6494.mp4 The undercarraige Very clean No rust Straight frame The body Straight panels- No dents or dings. (I found a small ding on the driver door, but I cannot relocate it to take a picture of it.) No signs of bondo. The hood looks like it blew open, it is curved slightly up near the top near the windshield. Front Bumper is almost perfect with one small pea sized ding. Rear bumper looks great from 10'. On close inspection it is slightly dented near the middle of the bumper. Plastic pieces behind front and rear bumpers are cracking. The chrome around the wheel wells are dinged and scratched. The paint About a 5/10. From 20 feet away the car looks great. Nearer and the paint is chipped or lifting in spots. Mostly this is in the front of the car. The top The vinyl is cracking. As this car is located in the desert it does not have much rust. Near the back of the C piller there is rust under the vinyl in the usual place. From 20' the top still looks good. But should be replaced. The interior With the doors shut the leather interior looks great! The front seats are supple and feel great. With the doors open the seat bases are torn on both sides. The rear seat leather is dry and cracking. Visably it does not look bad. The seat belts are all intact and working. The dash is cracked in two places. A good vinyl man could fix these cracks correctly. All dash guages including the clock and dummy lights work correctly. All interior lights including the floorboard lights work correctly The carpet is in good condition. The floor mats (these appear to be original?) are in good condition. The door panels are in fair condition. The power locks do not work The electric windows roll up and down. (Intermittenly these will not roll up or down. Usually when the car is first started. Once it is driven they work fine.) The power seats both work perfect. The interior adjustable drivers side mirror works perfect The passanger side mirror is loose and is wedged in position with a cardboard shim. The rear view mirror is in good shape but is currentl not mounted to the windshield Perfect Headliner! The glass The front windshield is near new, without pitting or cracks. The side windows are in good condition without cracks and appear original The rear window is in good condition without cracks and appears to be original. The two small oval windows appear orginal and are good condion without pitting or cracks. The tires The right rear tire is brand new The other tires have side wall cracks but have good tread left on them The rims Vintage aluminum rims. The passanger rim has a small ding around the edge of the rim and the center hub cover has a dent. The lights Headlights work. They need assistance to be flipped open when they are turned on. The headlight motor is not hooked up (broken wire.) Tail lights work (right taillight is cracked). Front and rear turn signals work Front left turn signal is cracked. Left front marker light works. Right front marker light does not (bulb?). Emblems Front hood emblem is missing Rear trunk individual "Lincoln" letters are missing. Fender "Mark IV" emblems are present Trunk "Mark IV" emblem is present. There are a ton more pictures located at: http://s801.photobucket.com/albums/yy297/hotrodlincoln2010/ .
