This Syncro is in very good shape and has been stored inside for the last eight years. Although there was never a problem with the engine, we had hoped to convert either Subaru or a Porsche power, but never got around to it. It is a very clean car both inside and out - never smoked in. It has power windows and A/C. The windows work, the A/C does not work - probably just needs a charge - it worked when it was put in storage. On Aug-16-10 at 18:45:38 PDT, seller added the following information: It was just noticed that it is listed as an automatic. It is not. It is a stick shift - five speed. The low gear is really low. As far as I know, all syncro VWs were stick shift. Also noticed is the mileage. When the car was in Massachusetts, the mileage was shown to be 127,305. If you look it up on CarFax, the last mileage shown is 74,011 in 2000. Since we came into possession of this van, it has been driven aproximately 500 miles and now shows 74.649.
