You are looking at a very low mileage 1983 Mercedes 300CD turbo-diesel . Mercedes built a very limited amount of these gorgeous 2 door coupes and there are just not many left in the condition this one is in .  This car was finished in this very elegant Champagne color (MB color code 473) with palomino color leather interior . Yes the interior is leather and not vinyl like most of them . This car was almost always garaged and it shows . The paint is in amazing condition and it really shines like on a new car . There are no dings or scratches . The interior is super clean as the pictures will show . The seats are free of rips or tears , the carpets are clean and even the wood is still in great condition . This car really does not look like it is 27 years old inside or out . But the best thing is the way it drives .It only has 129k miles on it , which is nothing on a 5 cylinder Mercedes diesel . They are about the most reliable and durable engines Mercedes ever built. With the right maintenance , they are known to go for over 500k miles without any mayor engine work . There are several cars with that engine on Ebay right now with more than 400k miles and still running well .  This car always starts up right away . It has lot's of pick up and is not slow at all . It cruises comfortably at 85-90 mph while still getting 27-28 mpg of diesel . The transmission shifts smooth and quickly through all the gears.  There are no known mechanical issues or any deferred maintenance . There are no oil leaks . The Air-conditioning has been converted to R134 and it blows ice cold through all the vents . The climate control works the way it should  . The tires have less than 2000 miles on them . Just recently we had a complete service done , including adjusting the valves , changing oil and filters , installing a new hood insulation and performing a diesel purge . I would not hesitate to just get in and drive it to New York and back .  The 123 series Mercedes coupes are continuing to appreciate in value every year . This should make a clean low mileage car like this one also an excellent and practical investment .  The 5 cylinder engine is also the perfect candidate for Bio-diesel conversion . This way you could drive this car on vegetable oil or free waste oil from restaurants . I have never tried it on this car , but with gas prices the way they are , it sounds like a good idea .  If you have any more questions , or if you would like to see this car BEFORE placing a bid , feel free to send me an email .
