Hello I am selling my 2000 Mercury Cougar 'Special Edition'. What makes this Cougar special is the rare body trim found on it as well as the cougar emblem engraved into the head rests for the leather seats. Also there is the bold windshield vinyl that says "Special Edition 2000" The vehicle has 106,000 miles on it. Since i have owned it, it has been mostly highway miles. The paint job is in great condition excluding the front bumper as it has a lot of rock chips. I have had the motor and transmission mounts replaced a little over a year ago to eliminate unwanted vibrations. Other things i have done to the car have been new 17in. MB 7x Rims to add a nice touch to the exterior and a k&n drop in air filter. However, a misfortunate event occured where the alternator went out and I started hearing a knocking noise. I had my mechanic check it out and he said it needed a new or rebuilt engine. A crack in the windshield has developed and also needs to be replaced.Aside from thise major issues. The transmission and suspension are great.The sound system and interior of the car is in good condition. the Center arm rest leather is cracking and with any cougar, The sunroof is damaged and not worth fixing howeverhowever it can be fixed for a reasonable price.
