Except for an on-off switch for the self-dimming mirror, and a new trunk escape handle, little is new for 2002 on Volkswagen’s convertible. The Cabrio has been offered in its current form since 1995, with heated seats, and power windows and mirrors; and the top-of-the-line GLX, with a power-operated cloth top and leather seats. Multi CD changer also available. Front-drive Cabrio uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, with electronic 4 Speed Automatic Transmission. Vehicle paint in good condition, some minor scratches R-Front Fender (see pics), for a 2002 the Body is in excellent condition. Convertible Top looks brand new, not a scratch or tear on top, top is automatic, easy up and down, with the extra protection of a custom stylish look roll bar for added protection and stability. Everything work, the AC blows colds air, compressor and dryer recently replaced. Tires in like new condition see pics. Volkswagen's Cabrio is based on the mid 1990s front-drive Golf hatchback and Jetta sedan. It replaced the old Rabbit-based Cabriolet. Dual airbags and antilock brakes were standard, and the soft top opened manually. The glass rear window incorporated a defogger. A fixed roll bar added structural rigidity and provided mounting points for height-adjustable manual front seatbelts. Sole engine was a 115-horsepower, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder.
