Up for auction is this January 1958 Volkswagen microbus. This bus is a the very uncommon double door model. (side doors on both sides) This bus being a 58 is a press bumper brake light lid era bus making it one of the most desirable years of bus's The bus is in very good shape for its age, the battery tray is OG and Looks Incredible. the nose and rear corners are super solid, the double door/sunroof deluxe Specific belly pans are intact! Even the floors are showing very minimal rust, just a few pin holes on the drivers side. and the og Dove Blue paint is even peeking through all over after just a light wet sand and polishing session and should recover well to a nice orginal patina Rust: if your intending to restore the bus. it will need rockers, front outriggers and dogleg's Damage (please read). The body seems to be in great shape, but the .Rear torsion housing was cut out by its prevous owner and will need a donor housing or fabbed housing. The bus does roll but its just a subframe and transaxle in the rear. no torsion's. Missing: It is missing the Original Press style bumpers. But you can purchase the reproduction bumpers online for $150 each. The is not a complete engine. but there will be a 36hp core/rebuildable, engine included with the bus. and no gas tank, Otherwise everything is present, the seats and interior, the trim, etc. Feel free to email or call, I would also be able to make time for showing the bus in person is you would like to fly or drive in, there is also a amtrak trainstation less then a mile away.
