1993 Z28 1LE (The orig factory race car, one of 19 made for the SCCA Canadian Players Racing Association) Purchased in April 93 after I signed a Warranty Disclaimer on the Engine & Powertrain and waiver that it was "Intended for Serious Perfornance Only!" It came without A/C or any other options. Crank windows that have never let me down. lol For the first 7 years it was a Daily Driver and was depended upon for primary Transportation with a few Mods or upgrades and way too much fun. In 99 it was used as a secondary car and weekend warrior. The orig shocks and struts were replaced at 90k mi with QA1 12 way adjustable and the front springs were matched. Sub Frame Connectors and lower Control Arms were added to stiffen and preserve the body. The orig hood which was damaged while it was off was replaced with a fiberglass functional Ram Air Hood from Suncoast. The old exhaust was replaced with a HF Cat Conv and Flowmaster Cat back. The Engine is a stock LT1 unit with a ZZ9 cam used by the SCCA racers. The Heads are also stock LT1 with a 3 angle valve job, port matched to the Intake Manifold. Roller Rockers replace the old stamped steel ones. The orig 22 lb Injectors were upraded with Bosch 24 lb and the Engine tuned. The EGR/AIR has been deleted. New MSD 8.5 Plug Wires replaced the factory ones. The old cloth seats were replaced with Leather WS6 seats front and rear. The weak factory Clutch upgraded to Centerforce Dual Friction The 1LE parts that make it the car it is still remain, The 32mm front and 21mm rear sway bars with stiffer bushings, the M29 close ratio 6 speed trans. The rear end is strong and swan quiet. The car runs in the 12's and gets 25+ mpg hwy. Comes with new Opti. It has 112k mi, the motor has -5k. Very Strong. All emissions and OEM parts come with the sale including tuning for 49 state legal and ERG/AIR components right down to the smog pump.... should that be needed. Several Memcals (Chips) come with it for tuning options depending on what Mods you'd like to do, or run the stock cam. A G1 Adapter makes changing tunes a snap. Experience the best of handling and performance. The buildup was featured in the july 01 ed GMHTP Magazine Street Heat titled "Paper Tiger no more!"
