Vehicle Detail
I have finally decided to sell my baby! This is a 1980 Camaro with a lot to offer. One of the best features is the T-tops. It is what makes it a fun summer car. There is also a new motor with only 595 miles on it. Just about everything on the motor is new except the block and the block has been dipped, bored, honed, resurfaced and painted. Ever since the rebuild I have been very easy on the motor. I am a firm believer in giving a new motor a proper break in. It has been very tempting but I have never taken it over 85 miles per hour. I have all the receipts for all of the parts I have purchased. Many of which will still be under warranty. It has the original 350 block and has been bored .40 over. And here is a list of all the modifications to the motor... Motor Speed Pro Pistions They are wrapped in Perfect Circle Rings Eagle Rotating assembly ProComp Aluminum Heads CompCams Flat Tappet Cam and Lifter Kit Also a CompCam Double Roller Timing Chain The Valve Springs are also made by CompCams Aluminum Roller Rockers 1.5 Weiand Intake (Great seal to the block, no leaks) Holley 600cfm Electric Choke AcDelco Spark Plugs 14 inch chrome Holley air filter The fuel Pump is Electric with a Regulator Shorty Headers made by a company called FlowMonster FlowMaster 40's to back up the newly ran exhaust New Radiator and cap to keep it all cool. Transmission It has the original Turbo 350 transmission I have had the transmission looked over by a shop down the road form me. They dropped the pan changed all the fluid and gave it a good look over. They advised me there was plenty of life left in it. And all the shift points were good. Shifts strong Interior All Alpine Stereo System 2 6x9 speakers on the rear package trey (Type S) The package trey is new and was cut to fit the new 6x9 speakers. Very clean look The Alpine Head Unit comes with a CD player and also an I-Pod connection Headliner was also redone. I did the the best I could with what support was left. The trunk showed some surface rust so I took it down to bare metal and repainted. There is just a sound deadener carpet pad in there now All the seats are original and in great shape except the drivers seat. I had the drivers seat reupholster last week and it looks great. It now matches the rest of the sleek black leather interior The center console lid does not clasp down and is starting to peel on one corner. Not terrible but I feel I should include it. The driver side door panel is not show quality either. It has endured 30 years of use. It the pictures it may look like the shifter is from a manual transmission. All I have done is taken a piece from the headliner and slipped it over the shifter. I like the look of this a lot better than the regular shifter column Exterior 20 inch Velocity Rims. They really match the car with Black blades and Chrome accents All the Chrome trim on the car is in very good condition There are several minor surface scratches in the paint. Some from before I bought it. I have been told by 2 body men that they will buff out easily but have never paid to get it done All glass is good and clean I did not have the car painted but the paint that is on it now is Black with a Red Flake in it. Very subtle but really shines in the light A very recent paint crack has occurred on the driver fender. The car has been kept safe in a garage and I don't believe anything scratched it. But the heat may have caused the paint to crack. Look at pictures below. The Sound of the car is very muscle car like. Everywhere I go people tell me "She sounds Great!" I can't think of anything else really. I have been running Primium Fuel in it ever since the rebuild. She does take a while to warm up since it is a carbureted. She really does run good. I have been told I could get a lot more power out of her if I got the air to fuel mixture Just right. It is something that anyone can play with. I really hate to see her go but I am planning on serving a mission for my church and I will be gone for 2 years. This will help pay for it and will also help me be a little less homesick while I am gone. I hope this answered all of your questions if not you know how to get ahold of me. I can arrange a shipping service if needed. The best way would be to ship out of Memphis TN I am very close and am willing to make that drive. Pickup is welcome too. Thanks and happy bidding, Chris! I just wanted to let everyone know that my Buy It Now price is not my reserve. If one does decide to do the Buy It Now price I will have the car shipped to you ANYWHERE in the US out of my pocket. Excluding Alaska and Hawaii. I don't want to sound too desperate but like I said I am going to be serving a 2 year mission and I do not want the car sitting for 2 years. Better to have someone else enjoy her! Thanks, Chris
