Up for a NO RESERVE auction is my trusty Honda Civic DX hatchback. I bought it new in July of 1999. I have driven it for 179K miles without experiencing any mechanical issues whatsoever. The engine still runs likes new. No loss of power, doesn't take oil etc. I probably saved $10K in fuel costs over the last 11 years but driving this thing to work instead of something else. I have gotten as much as 50 mpg on pure highway trips, 42 on short highway trips and 35mpg in mixed city/highway use. I can fill the tank in NJ for $28 and not worry about it for a week of daily commuting. The only reason I am selling it is that we already have four cars and that is the capacity of our garage. My wife wants a new car and we need to make room for it. New parts: - about 10k miles ago I had the clutch replaced by a Honda dealer (have the paperwork) for $1300- last week I had to replace the muffler. I got the "Forever" one which means that it is warrantied forever. NAPA will replace it even 10 years from now if something goes wrong Bad stuff: - The body has taken some abuse over the years: the front bumper is new but not painted, the back door is dented (a truck rolled into me), the hood probably needs to be repainted, there are some scratches etc.- The airbag (SRS) light is on all the time. The airbags were never "used" in this car i.e they are both there. One day I had to replace a fuse and the light came on at that time. I never cared to have anyone look into this. As you can see in the pictures, the interior is very clean. I probably had passengers in the back seat about 5 times. I maintain all of my cars well and this one was no exception. Oil has been changed every 3-4K miles since new. I have been using the high-mileage oil for the last 3 years. Please email me with any questions. NO RESERVE!
